For newfriends and fa/tg/uys: this is a Chronicles of Darkness (CofD) homebrew being played by the fabulous ladies of Hololive English, running under the Hunter: the Vigil module. As most of the players are new to the world of tabletop RPGs, this campaign is being played as more of learning experience, with fun and entertainment the primary goals.

THE CAST:

>Mori Calliope
as THE STORYTELLER.
Everyone's beloved, buxom, pink-haired, adorably awkward rappin' reaper. A solid journeyman in playing tabletop, she is the acting GM and organizer of this campaign.
>Takanashi Kiara
as TIARA
An explosively extroverted phoenix and savvy owner of the moderately popular fast food franchise, Kiara Fried Phoenix (KFP). Her experience in TTRPGs is limited to a small amount of DnD played as a child. Her character is Tiara, a nobly born foreigner with a talent for handguns and communicating with birbs, particularly her pet owl, Uhu.
>Ninomae Ina'nis
as YUUL
A soft-spoken, sweet-natured priestess of the Deep Ones, also a talented artist whose character renditions has fueled the flood of Huntermyth fanart. A newbie in the realm of TTRPGs. Her character is Yuul B. Alwright, a sleep-deprived college grad student with a talent for academics, crafts, and vehicular homicide.
>Amelia Watson
as WATOTO
An animal-loving time traveler and detective with a rough-and-tumble approach to life. Yet another newcomer to the realm of TTRPGs. Her character is Watoto, a paranoid, conspiratorial dealer of herbal concoctions and drugs who holds his own with rough street charisma and his fists.
>Gawr Gura
as SCOUT
An infectiously amiable shark, long-time resident of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. She is also new to TTRPGs, but don't let that fool you, her roleplay and improv performance so far has been nothing less than masterful. After going through multiple drafts and iterations, she has settled upon the party's final character: an illiterate, tough-as-nails country blacksmith named Scout, a melee and survival powerhouse.

Doesn't help that /vt/ went from a slow and easy board to the 4th most active in a matter of months. I remember vividly when things were more relaxed and the bait / spam / drama threads were nearly nonexistent.

I've also been planning to transition /HMG/ into something like V-tuber Tabletop General, /VTTT/ or /VTTRPG/, still playing with the names. Including other groups would better serve to give the threads more survivability and serve as a focal point for the particular brand of hobby.

A good idea in theory but all it'll end up being is Mythbreakers and whatever the VShojo D&D game turns out to be. No one is going to bother watching indies, even if they run a phenomenal game and not a boring show.

None of the other campaigns are going to come in swinging as hard as Mythbreakers did. In the end it's the right tactical move to incorporate the smaller groups and give them their space in the hobby (if their campaigns wind up being acceptable, anyway). I do agree that a general would be Huntermyth with the Vshits and Nijiniggers as DLC campaigns. I'd also like to incorporate Fuckbucket's CoC sessions in as well if some gloriously dedicated anon would do the honor of subbing them.

I'm totally down with compiling the campaign lists and keeping them in order every thread. Unfortunately I'm NOT going to do the sort of deep diving infographics for them that I've done for Myth. All this shit here:
>>12040612
>>12040565
>>12040519
is a deal more work than it seems. Holo girls are irritatingly secretive with their ingame info, so gathering it has been quite the effort, and while I will continue to update for their campaign, I won't show the same love for the others. If other anons decide to on their own initiative, I'll gladly act as archivist for the character sheets and such. I'm still not totally finished with Myth's infographics as it is.

You're already doing a great job, so thanks for that. It's reasonable that you don't want to do bookkeeping for every campaign, and since those detailed post aren't part of the OP nobody could complain, really. If someone wants character sheets, roll stats etc for other campaigns they can gather those themselves.

This is exactly what I meant by no one watching indies. Who gets to decide if they're "acceptable"? Or will this literally only be corpo games only? There are indies out there that run amazing games that beat out corpo attempts, but because they're not Holo/Niji/VShojo no one will give them a shot.

I'm going to assume so. I also get the feeling Calli was trying to get them to take him along, since he's more or less a boisterous, male self-insert of her. You can tell by watching the campaign she wants to be part of the party (and she's even admitted to it in unrelated streams). I respect her for being the mature DM and not shoving her own PC on the party.

>>12053322
That came out wrong. Acceptable for me means if the campaign and session are put together well, indies or not. If a campaign devolves into an unwatchable shitfest, I'd be hesitant to include it. Vtuber TT is a new thing, so it's vital to promote the high effort endeavors over the low ones. I'd gladly compile and present an indie campaign if it's a good watch. That's what this all about, a good watch. And keeping a dwindling hobby alive.

If your last Health box has Lethal in it you do start bleeding out, and this will kill you without medical attention. It'll kill you pretty fucking fast too.

Bashing damage is blunt force, it's stuff that causes bumps and bruises. Thinks like fists, clubs, and getting tossed into walls deal Bashing damage. Stuff you can pretty much just walk off, mortals recover a point of Bashing damage every 15 minutes. Lethal damage is cuts, puncture wounds, or burns. Stuff like knives, guns, or getting crushed between two things deal Lethal damage. Lethal damage takes 2 days per point. Aggravated damage is grievous stuff like flesh melting acid burns, or serious organ damage, but also supernatural stuff like silver vs werewolves. Supernatural sources or just horrific mundane sources can cause Aggravated damage. It takes a whole week to recover from a point of Aggravated damage. You heal damage from the right most box first, so if you have Aggravated damage it doesn't start healing until you healed all your Lethal damage, which doesn't start healing until you've healed all your Bashing damage.

It really doesn't, though - Lethal literally means life-threatening or sufficient to cause death; the only way a lethal injury could be aggravated would be if it outright killed the one of the receiving end.

Again, going by the literary definition of the words, it would make more sense view as something like:

Bashing = minor damage
Aggravated = serious damage
Lethal = life threatening damage

She didn't. That beat is for taking a failure and turning it into a dramatic failure. What Kiara's remembering is that she opted to do a nearly-impossible roll because an "epic fail" would be "interesting". She didn't "fail and then you me me roll again", she got a success on her single die which exploded into an extra, irrelevant die - thus there was no fail for her to turn into a dramatic fail in the first place.
What they're both forgetting is that she used Tiara's Vice to drink the mind control soda

Not that she isn't the type to do that, but I don't think she's saying it out of self-doubt. It's more likely that she understands that this series' popularity puts people in an awkward position if, say, Amelia doesn't actually like TTRPGs, or if Kiara doesn't want to keep waking up at Fuck You hours. I think she's trying to lessen some of that pressure/obligation by reminding viewers over and over again that the others aren't bitches if they don't come back for second helpings.

Just in case you lot also want to know about doppelgängers

Doppelgängers are basically trauma ghosts, instead of death ghosts. If a person undergoes something horrific they can make a ghost and as they're still alive this ghost is their doppelgängers. They work the same as normal ghosts with a few small tweaks. "Phantom limbs", doppelgängers of things you've had amputated or otherwise lost are Rank 0 rather than Rank 1 like a normal ghost. There is no limit on the amount of doppelgängers a person can have, but if one doppelgängers commits ectophagia (fully consuming their ephemeral essence and destroying them) on a ghost that is of the same person as they are then the doppelgänger gains a Rank.

As for the ghost thing. Ghosts aren't dead people. Rather they're copies of people, of varying fidelity, left after a person dies. But it's not just people, everything does this. When anything dies or is destroyed it leaves and ephemeral after-image, and these after-images last for about as long as people still feel the loss of things they're copies of. If you break a plate the ghost that leaves will quickly collapse, but if that plate was a family heirloom with deep emotional significance then it might hang around for a while longer. If a fire claims a building it's ghost will stick around for a while until people forget or rebuild and move on, but something like the Twin Towers will remain as ghosts far after rebuilding. So small things don't last, but big things can stick around for decades. Everything eventually collapses, its ephemeral essence drifting towards the Avernian Gates (portals to the Underworld in locations associated with death), and then it'll just flow down the Underworld's Rivers like all forgotten things do and eventually end up in the Ocean of Fragments. A great black sea, the confluence of all Rivers, and the place in which all memory and identity is swallowed. It's the waters that appear in these last sessions, so playing on the beach is very much not a good idea.

However, the doppelgängers in this session appeared to be Fetches. Fetches are what the True Fae sometimes use to replace people they kidnap and take to Arcadia. That's a whole mess of stuff though and shouldn't really be possible in the context of the session and so would be hard to explain exactly what's going on there without knowing what Calli has planned.

Lorefag's ultimate session review, sponsored by Home Depot.

--Tiara: 7.5/10, her performance was the weakest of the session I felt, but she did a good job. Making poor choices doesn't make a bad player. The clone mystery was really getting to them, so she took a pretty drastic measure, not realizing she was acting against herself. She's getting a good hang on the inner workings of WoD, using her flaws and opting to take dramatic fails on some things.
--Yuul: 9/10, MVP of the session. Of all the rolls I recorded, only one did she not roll properly, and even then it was a single missed dice. She kept a cool head and ultimately pieced together the mystery when they were trapped in the mirrors. I'd say her only real blunder was the kick on the ghost, but it was more of an experimental move, and didn't result in any major retaliation.
--Watoto: 8/10, Ame was the most low impact of the group this time, but she made good use of her skills and remembered her merits. My biggest complaint with this character is Ame keeps giving him gear that doesn't jive with his skillset, like a sound gun and a blowgun. Watoto has failed using these consistently, and for good reason.
--Scout: 8/10, Gura's energy and force of personality are hard to snuff out in group collabs. Scout came with the usual hard-headed decisiveness that she always brings, and even came up with some great ideas. What makes this party interesting is that it never has a single party leader, since Tiara and Scout both fill that role at various times.
--Overall session score: 8.5/10. I took off a point for the technical difficulties, but added half back on since they got their models animated again and had no major delays, which really adds more to the stream when you've experienced not having it. The session hit the checkboxes and had some good memorable moments, but no major issues.

On the end of things, what happened to Chad?

In terms of weapons? Watoto's not really combat oriented, but he does have sufficient points in Brawl + Ground Pound merit for combo shots. His character backstory paints him as someone connected with the criminal underworld, and he's a good crafter, so probably a combination of molotovs and flashbangs. Brawling would come into play if he had no other option (like he should have against Daisy Romano).

Comparing all of the sheets, Watoto is the most bizarre. I was convinced during the CC stream he was going to be a useless joke character, but he's surprisingly well-rounded. If I had to nail a hard title onto him I'd call him a modern day Thief. He has the right combo of unsavory social skills to get his way, combined with a plethora of mental skills that are typically utilized by outer / unlawful members of society. If he needs to get what he wants, he can steal. If he's cornered, he can throw a punch. Survival at any cost would be his motto.

When it comes to the party, he's called upon when certain talents are required. Deft thievery, on the spot investigation, and occult knowledge are all out of reach of the other three, but Watoto is there to fill in those needs.

>Hunters in 2e use a specific template feature to remove killing from their list of breaking points.
Sort of. You can't flat out remove a Breaking Point, you have to replace it with something. You also can only replace one Code Breaking Point like that, and it has to be specific to your Compact or Conspiracy. You need to be able to justify it with your GM, and it impacts social stuff with any other Hunter not in your faction.

>vampires usually take a bane to be cool with it
While that's possible, it's not been my experience. You'd have to be in a fairly violent chronicle to warrant it, mortals can be dealt with non-lethally often and even if you did take a Bane for it you've got more than 1 Breaking Point to cover to get away with it fully. And you can only have three Banes. More Banes also mean harder rolls on any other Breaking Point.

>werewolves don't give a fuck (almost).
Killing, hunting them for food, and eating them for Essence are all Breaking Points against Harmony towards Spirit.
