If the game is touted as "something that has never existed before" or they too scared to make comparisons ( the game is a mix of this meets this that). It should raise some flags for you.

A good example of this is Gunpei Yokoi from Nintendo, he created a toy called the magic hand in the 70's that basically saved Nintendo, he then created the game boy which really put Nintendo on the map, then he was forced to release the Virtual Boy before it was ready, it failed horribly and they did a Coco on him, shunted to worthless work till he quit on his own.

Holy shit, this is going to be a disaster. It sounds like Cover is trying to make its own version of Second Life or Playstation Home. But these guys have zero experience in video game development, and their first game is going to be a Second Life-like MMO?

It's going to have to be licensed out to a third party developer to make, there's no way Cover can create something like this in-house. The costs for something like this will likely be astronomical if they want anything good. This project just has "massive financial catastrophe" written all over it. Coco absolutely bailed out from Hololive at the right time.
