Nobody forces them to. Coco didn't have to, and hell it was a nice fallback for her,Pippa didn't have to, nobody forces them to, so why? Isn't it nice to have a fallback plan in case you fuck up at the company, or the company goes under or something. Have we forgotten that a hiatus is a thing? Like why. Graduating doesn't even make since. That's idol shit. The only reason people use the word much is because hololive used it. Just go on fucking indefinite hiatus people. Don't fuck up and make people leave by graduating.

>> No.11749177 [DELETED]

Most chuubas aren't grifters that set out to pump and dump their colleagues and tell them to wipe up the cum like Kson.

>> No.11749347

Why take all the time to build an audience just to throw it away. Some of them even make up a fucking lie. "I'm graduating due to health reasons" and then you hear her distinct voice in a corporate vtuber, like why. Just why.

Nijis are retards like that. They only join the bandwagon to be relevant without putting much of a thought. It's not surprising that some of them may have participated on that face reveal trend that happened sometime ago.

Except for the contract they sign. Just because Pippa just means she got a looser contract with Phase than a Niji would have.
Tenma stopped her roommate's activities too. Though no way of knowing if this was due to contract.

Because they're putting their full attention towards the bigger job. Most workers are competent enough to not fuck up and it seems like a good amount of the current groups are stable enough to not go under for the foreseeable future.

If you don't make them cease their other account you get people like this.

>> No.11755824

>>11750124
Niji don't have any restrictions on that either. Mayuzumi and Kagami are still active in their other persona, albeit not as vtuber. Most of them abandoned their other accounts simply because they don't want to juggle between two jobs.

I can't say much about niji or other corps, but I'm fairly sure hololive specifically forbids you existing as another active vtuber while you work for them. Kson was not a fulltime vtuber until recently and during Coco's lifetime she was mostly relegated to streaming on mildom and rather infrequently at that.

>> No.11759022

Because they were all indies and arguably none of them were even proper vtubers in the sense we'd normally think of it. Bae and I think Kronii had to graduate because they were part of another company.

In Japan it's kind of a tradition. Destroy the past or something. It's stupid but widespread. For westerners it's about not wanting their past to come back and bite them in the ass. They don't want to sort through hundreds of hours of now mostly non-earning material looking for something controversial they might have said, or something that becomes retroactively controversial as political and social opinions shift over time. Someone with popular content that's still getting views likely won't take it down (Mori, Gura, Mumei, IRyS ect) but it's easy to pull the trigger on long ass archives of streams no one ever gonna watch except to pick through for yabs.

>> No.11759508

There’s this thing called exclusivity clauses in contracts. Most companies aren’t going to want you to do your job on the side and it not make them money.

>> No.11759708

>>11759508
Samefagging to add people still leave during hiatuses. And worse people will ask if/when you’re coming back. Nobody wants to deal with that while they’re focusing on their corpo success.

>> No.11759749

>>11758939
I kind of understand that though, it's like starting fresh but considering how fast past lives get uncovered it's absolutely pointless

I've nuked multiple accounts and started new several times in all my time I've spent on the internet, sometimes you just attract the wrong kind of people and wanna rebrand

But I guess it is different when your job is about reach and amassing as many viewers as you can, you're shooting yourself in the foot and burning the bridge behind you

>> No.11759954

>>11759749
When you debut under a corporation you're carrying the "honor" of their brand, if you said stuff as an indie it could come back to bite you in the ass. As an indie you can shittalk whatever you want, the only consequence is your chat/fans. As a corpo vtuber you can get in trouble with way more eyes on you.

I'm pretty sure that's niji's policy specifically, you can't have any other vtuber identities. Some of them still stream, but without an avatar as >>11759055 said. iirc Noor said that if she reincarnated as another vtuber she'd have to delete her youtube archive as Noor.

There's not really any reason for indies to keep their old account when it's already sectioned off from their personal life, letting people dig through it is just a yab waiting to happen.
