I've only watched the clip, but allow me to play some defense.

His specific wording is that once you get into "Hololive" you "don't HAVE to be a good streamer". Taking his words in their best light, he's right. The brand will give you a relatively more success than a 2view who never joins a company. However, not "having" to be a good streamer doesn't mean that someone who does get in isn't a good one. Regardless, his logic starts to fail once you look at plenty of Niji and Anya (for those who don't remember, she's a Holo). A brand can give a boost, but it doesn't mean success even beyond the average-person-earnings measure he uses (again see Holo member Anya Melfissa).
Honestly, even Nina's old persona saying vtubers get away with the same behavior normal streamers would be ridiculed for is a much better take...
