I don't think its really a parasocial relationship in the strictest sense they are taking about because that is about an audience member coming to view an individual streamer like they were their friend. But in a sense you could see a streamer that comes to view their chat like it was their friend as having a parasocial attachment to the group, becoming reliant on them for social interactions, validation, positive feedback and so on.
