Attention all Vtubers! This is your new mom speaking!
Throw away all pride. Throw away all pride and just pander. Pander to the lowest common denominator. Eat chocolate bunnies if you have to. That is my advice. Drink breast milk, yeah, just drink breast milk. Just throw away your pride and drink the breast milk.
Thank you for your attention.

It's not against men, it's just in favor of women. That might sound like the same thing but no one besides /wvt/ posters trying to be ironic actually dislike
male vtubers, they just prefer women. Women are preferred for things like ASMR, vtubing, and other categories while males are preferred just overall in Twitch. I don't want to listen to a guy whisper to me in a soft voice, I'm just not into that but it doesn't mean there's some fucking system trying to keep him down.

A majority of people watching vtubers are weeb males, and they prefer female interaction. A majority of Twitch viewers are just males in general who still seem to prefer watching normal male streamers. It's just different parts of a demographic who want different things from different types of streams.

Yes, and there's still nothing inherently wrong with it because no one is "losing"

Just generalizing but normal people of a gender have specific wants/needs. Most male viewers want a cute anime girl to listen to and maybe talk to if they're small enough to read messages, it's their preferred parasocial escape

Women want the cute/handsome/nice voiced anime boy of their fantasies the same way. It's why Corpse Husband's fans are pretty much all weirdo females who would unironically kill for the guy. The issue is just that there's fewer female viewers for vtubers, and there's also significantly fewer male vtubers who fit that niche because every Male fan seems to just be these weirdo spergs who have never interacted with women socially

There's still situations where a viewer just genuinely likes a personality regardless of gender, but I'd have to guess that type of viewer is a lot lower in number. Even I prefer to watch normal male facecam streamers, but when it comes to vtubers most that I watch aside from friends are female.

tl;dr we're wired different and theres less good female viewers and female targeted streamers

Yes - the organized, corporate side of vtubing prefers female streamers because even if they are boring there's chance that they will float on simply being cute. Male vtubers actually need to create something but a lot of them stops on fucking playing the same games on every stream, wasting time on boring shit or blaming everyone that they can't succeed. No, my subjective opinion (that in fact is truth and you cannot lie about it) is why so many male vtubers fail. There would be more successful male vtubers if more male vtubers would pull heads out of their asses and start working on content. Playing Apex for 20h/week while crying on Twitter how you have less than 1 viewer is not helping.

>but it does not help that most male vtubers genuinely sucks and do nothing to improve their skills

Most male vtubers do the same exact contact as female ones, playing the same games, reacting to the same videos, using the same format of content creation. The issue is that most potential viewers are male, and those people want to watch girls.

When a male DOES succeed, typically it's either because they're actually able to stand out and properly network and promote themselves (Krimbo, Papi, Joel, Mar, Kabhaal, Randon), they're doing SUCCESSFUL BFE (Shxtou, Frost, Kitty, Taiga to some degree I guess, Aisriale, Capt), or people find them genuinely likeable (Randon, Papi, Krimbo, Shxtou). I'm not vouching for anyone's content on this list personally, but it's easy to see why they succeed vs random /here/ male who doesn't know hwo to carry a convo and playing some boring game no one cares about.

I don't think most males suck, I think the bar is just set higher for them because the amounto f viewers who aren't in it just to see a cute anime girl is a lot lower. That's why their chats (at least some of them) are a lot more akin to a normal streamer's as far as people like Krimbo, Papi, Mar, and Randon go. The BFE kind of speaks for itself.

Little S, Krimbo, Taiga, Joel, and Papi all primarily just play backlog games the same as any other unsuccessful male (minecraft, FPS games, MH, backlog), the different is that they've got engaging personalities that keep people around. Some people on that list do things different (proper BFE or targeting a niche audience) but overall an engaging personality is what they all have and when you can't get by on being a cute girl with a cute model and a cute voice it means the bar is set higher, so that's what people want. Yes, it is possible for males to be successful vtubers. Yes, you have to be interesting, entertaining, and lucky, just like any other content creator. There is no difference other than the fact that the biggest EN tubers are all females and that set people's expectations.

Saying you can't make it because of your gender is being no different than the twitch thots who seethe about the top streamers all being men. And If you're a male chuuba who does that shit it's just going to make me not watch you, because you look like a whiney faggot. So good luck growing

Dark Souls, The Hunt, Bloodborne, Minecraft, Apex, Genshin, etc. All the usual suspects for games that are "overplayed" by both males and females, yet they do just fine. It can only mean their personality is what people are there for, not the gameplay. The top creators in all these categories are female. It's the same for vtubing. Yes you can succeed, but it'd be a lot harder to build an audience thotting as a male on Twitch than a female, that's what I'm trying to say. It’s Monday, the beginning of a new week! I hope you slept well or are heading off to bed soon, I was riding high from yesterday’s stream and struggled to even close my eyes.

2. What do you think is the best/worst aspect of being /here/ for a vtuber?

If it's a name I recognize, I'd check it out. I don't usually have my Twitch following tab open most of the time.
>2. What do you think is the best/worst aspect of being /here/ for a vtuber?

in other timeslots i'm either sleeping or working
>2. What do you think is the best/worst aspect of being /here/ for a vtuber?
most of the board, as well as most of the entire site, hates western vtubers. on top of that, most of the viewers here have already found some chuubas to watch so you won't get new viewers from getting linked even if you've got a unique concept going
on the other hand, criticism from thread anons can range from harsh to malicious, so it might be worth asking around for advice if it feels like your normal viewers are mostly looking to kiss your ass

Morning! Speaking from a chuuba perspective which would be different than if I looked at it as a viewer.
>How likely are you to check someone out who posts a link to their content here? Especially if they aren’t love at the moment. (Live?)
Somewhat likely out of curiosity. Although it's not a good one, this place does act as a kind of filter if I don't want to go dumpster diving on Twitch for people to watch
>What do you think is the best/worst aspect of being /here/ for a vtuber?
Best: a community that can work as a base for an audience and discovering chuubas to network with/enjoy
Worst: just as susceptible to drama as other vtuber spaces and even more susceptible to schizos
>What is the best/worst aspects being on Twitter?
Best: actually networking with other chuubas, good hub for fan or self generated content
Worst: the whole song and dance that is brand management on social media - doesn't matter if you are a literal 2view, the song and dance is expected
>Do you think YouTube cares at all about their streaming communities / platform? Will it ever challenge Twitch for smaller streamers?
They care in a checklist way to try and reduce Twitch's market share, but not in an actual way. Holos and medium to large channels regularly get fucked over by SUSAN. A nobody with 400 subs stands no chance if they get on the wrong side of the automated moderation. No, they won't compete with Twitch. Despite it's major issues, Gift Subs, Raids and Point Redeems will always make the Twitch platform more palatable to most smaller streamers that aren't living the HoloLARP fantasy.

I only watch /here/ chuuba, or ones linked from /here/, haha. It's a good reccomendation area and I really like when when they come into the threads.

>2. What do you think is the best/worst aspect of being /here/ for a vtuber?
The best is you can get a pretty decent boost to viewers right off the jump. I think most /here/ usually have more than those who don't post? The worst is that the fans here can be insane and gossip like fishmonger's wives. The schizo posting and conspiracies can be absolutely ridiculous.

>3. What is the best/worst aspects being on Twitter?
The best is having a direct line to your fans or other streamers. The worst is that it incentivizes the nastiest takes and witch hunts, and can be really nasty.

>4. Do you think YouTube cares at all about their streaming communities / platform? Will it ever challenge Twitch for smaller streamers?
I think they do care, but the platform isn't meant for them and none of their algorithm is set up for it. I don't get other streams in the reccomended tab, I get clips. I like parts of it better (I can't stand Twitch emotes or badges or point redeems) but unless they overhaul it Hololive will be the only ones who can succeed there.

being hated on for not being a seiso nip by delusional corpofags is almost as bad as the free dedicated schizo each chuuba is supplied with
>3. What is the best/worst aspects being on Twitter?
twitter is boring unless you follow your viewers, because otherwise all you see is shill postng, all the people who you see causing twitter drama are people that only follow other vtubers shilling and seek out things to hate
>4. Do you think YouTube cares at all about their streaming communities / platform? Will it ever challenge Twitch for smaller streamers?
they're dumping more resources into it, but they'll continue to be many years behind, even the japanese streamers move to twitch now
all they have to do is do better than all the other dead or dying sites, there is no reason for them to be number one when it's better for them to just kill off the small competition so there isn't a three way split market in the future

I'm a bit of a hypocrite on this one I guess, since I always insist that your model or game choices don't matter if you're enjoying yourself since that shines through the most, but if I don't know a chuuba I'll usually only check them out if their model or game choice catches my eye. I should check out more people when my usual favorites are offline, honestly.
the best part of being /here/ is a built in community of viewers and chuubas to interact with and honest criticism (if you have the common sense to filter through it and the shitposting anyway, though there's a bit less of it on /vt/ at least.) The worst is the stigma this site will give you with the crowd that still thinks of this place as being full of hackers on steroids and shit like that.
Twitter's great for networking, but their moderation is arbitrary as fuck (seep just got off a week-long suspension for calling someone a wench, of all things) and a lot of people there are, to borrow a term from their book, toxic as fuck.
No but they're sure gonna pretend they do at least. I still say it has some advantages over twitch (most obviously better VOD support and a better incentive for people to actually subscribe/become a member instead of basically just getting emotes and nothing else) but they're pretty few and far between compared to what Twitch has. It really depends on how much some of its different features matter to you and for 99% of indies they don't seem to matter much if at all. Or maybe I'm just trying to defend it despite knowing it's not worth staying on because my oshi hasn't shown any desire to make the switch and she's big enough to justify that decision.

Also, I just wanted to say it's nice to have someone other than ayy asking questions from time to time. Nothing against her, but variety's the spice of life and all that.

I have a bad habit of not using art tags because I'm too self-conscious to post my little scribbles there more than once in a blue moon. IF Youtube ever gets its shit together it could become viable, but there doesn't seem to be an interest in improving the platform when they make enough off viral cat videos and makeup tutorials. There are so many more so much bigger worlds within Youtube and I doubt they'd ever be interested in pandering to streamers just because vtubers were popular during lockdown. With the twitch source code being leaked maybe another platform or two might pop up, but going from past experiences they'll be hijacked by /pol/tards, porn artists, and general nutcases that got kicked out of most other sites, which then gives the new platform the reputation of "that site only weirdos use". Strive for a weekly calorie deficit of around 7,000 through a combination of diet and increased activity. That'll have you on pace to lose 2 pounds a week. Good on you for recognizing it! Use an app like MyFitnessPal and get a digital food scale on Amazon (under $20 easily) so you can easily track calories. Once you know your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) you can subtract 1000 from that and have your daily caloric goal for 2 pounds weight loss weekly.

Reducing too drastically will get you fast results but also make you very likely to rebound and gain the weight back while having also lost muscle mass. It's a good idea to talk to your doctor as well, but I hope you can find something that works for you and is easy to maintain. After several weeks, you'll build up new, better habits to replace the old ones. I believe in you, anon!

>How does your oshi inspire you?
She was talking in stream about how he got into vtubing to get over her social anxiety, and to interact with more people, and to learn how to art. She's directly responsible for me deciding to become a vtuber, and to do my art and video editing reps.

>Any locations?
Theme parks can be quite good, you get a lot of people posting "the weather was appalling, 1 star"

>Nyaru question
If you could collab with anyone, living or dead, regardless of whether they are a streamer (or even had internet/electricity); who would you want to collab with, and what would you want to do?

As always, NYARU OLEV

Nord hours are something else. But, I sees a survey, I respond.
1) It usually takes a few links, and they have to have something I'm at least mildly interested in on the docket, and be going live fairly near the link time. Viewing time is limited on my end, so I have to make it count since I've already got about a zillion chuubas I want to watch.
2) Best is getting you out of the "literally 2-views" hole immediately, since there's horror stories of taking more than a month to meet the Twitch Affiliate criteria. Mixed is the POTENTIAL, but not even close to the guarantee, of actual usable feedback and criticism on stream qualities and assets. Worst is that you WILL pick up some schizoposts, sometimes a shitload, but being a public figure means someone will spend time throwing shit at you to see if it sticks, so it's just another avenue.
3) Best bird perks are a convenient place to pin your schedule, tag your art, and make announcements. There's the partial bonus of getting to shitpost with your followers and friends in a mostly-neutral environment too. Worst is that the bird site is also designed to suck out your soul and chain you to the algorithm, if your intent is to grow bigger using it. It will chew you up, remove all the fun parts about you, and crumble you into a measly pile of updoots, if you let it. Basically, use with caution.
4) YouTube does care, at least some small part, about livestreaming content in addition to the bread-and-butter of videos. They wouldn't bother to ape the "live clipping" feature if there was no care at all. However, by sheer volume of incompetence, and lack of features innate to the website, small individuals, or circles of individuals, don't really benefit via use of YouTube as the "streaming" platform. No raids, janky chat, absolutely dogshit analytics handling (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING GOOGLE IS BIG BROTHER ITSELF), higher barrier-to-START-monetization. That said, store your VODs, clips, and shitposts there people, it's literally free, and you get to play Algo-Simulator.
Hope you are having a good day, vamp.

If you take the outfit and transpose it back to your OG model's size and style, it'd be great gap moe. It's a nice design in and of itself, but there's a gulf between it and the OG.

I'll give you some of my faves, starting with the obvious.

Koragi. Talented, creative, energetic and cute. I can't say enough good about her. The absolute best! Currently only streaming on Saturdays.
https://www.twitch.tv/koragi_ch

The Bat. Cringelord supreme shitposter, recommended by many others already. Was my intro to the world of /wvt/
https://www.twitch.tv/batatvideogames

Nikkei Nata. Portugeese artist who does long art streams and banters with chat the whole time, one of the most entertaining art streams to watch. Don't be intimidated by chat regulars, it's a very welcoming!
https://www.twitch.tv/nikkeinata

Arypie. Kind, funny, and hardworking. Check out her VOD from last Friday if you need any convincing to watch her, it's amazing.
https://www.twitch.tv/arypie

Vtemp1ar. Robot man who is very interactive with chat and maximizes stream assets for shitposting.
https://www.twitch.tv/vtemp1ar

No_Name_Palidin. PNG tuber who has a good talent for improv, he's newer to the game but he has consistantly funny and entertaining streams. Watching him will introduce you to a lot of other PNGtubers too, if you want to deep dive.
https://www.twitch.tv/no_name_paladin

PaperBag. Quality gamer streams exclusively at gremlin hours. Nice to chill too. Very based.
https://www.twitch.tv/paperbag_ch

There's so many more than this, but this is what I thought of off the top of my head. Welcome to the world of /wvt/, comrade

Places that would be fun to read the One Star Karen Specials from... maybe something dumb like the Applebees closest to Times Square, or the Taco Bell closest to the Grand Canyon, or something of that nature.
Still don't have the ONE oshi yet, but you're definitely among the people that inspire me, and you've helped me start back up on projects that I put aside because they were too hard, put in the effort to do lifting reps (even during your stream timeslot), and just try, try again.
Caramel Question Time: If you get a Wiggly, would you want it themed after your OG outfit, your comfy outfit, or your newest outfit? Don't worry about why... no reason at all...

western niji/hl usually get a pass for anons since they import their culture over from their jp talents
unless a western chuuba gets a big enough /here/following behind them, most anons will just make assumptions based off of whatever shitty vtweeter screenshots or clips they've seen
drama, softcore porn content, alphabet soup twitter profiles
i was told by /hlgg/ anons to avoid /wvt/ at all costs back in january but i think they fail to take into account that a lot of /here/ chuubas emerged from /hlgg/'s culture or at least share the same values as it

>how he got into vtubing to get over her social anxiety, and to interact with more people, and to learn how to art
I feel a lot of us can relate to this! I also started off with the intent to battle my social anxiety! I'm glad your oshi has inspired you to reps too!

>Theme parks
That's a one star gold mind! I expect to read a lot of "this was my kids special day and you ruined it" type of reviews!

>If you could collab with anyone, living or dead, regardless of whether they are a streamer (or even had internet/electricity); who would you want to collab with, and what would you want to do?
Maid Mint. I loved her so much and dreamed of collabing with her or talking about idols at most. I don't find that many enthusiastic idol fan vtubers to talk about this niche and seeing her talk about AKB and Hello!Pro gave me hope I could find more people like her. I know she's now [REDACTED] so even collabing with them as [REDACTED] would still be a dream come true!

A while ago she posted something along the lines of "anybody can draw if they try" and while that's admittedly pretty basic advice anyone can give you, I guess when your oshi says it it'll carry more weight. I've been drawing more or less every day since then.
