Who is a good VTuber to learn Japanese from through listening? Ideally a VTuber that has a clear cadence and uses normal-sounding everyday Japanese with no anime phraseology.

Kanda is great for this. He sometimes uses the autotranslator a lot of NijiJP have been using (iirc Gundou, Rion, Haruka, and Shizurin have all used it) and his enunciation is so clear it picks up almost everything, even if the TL is still a bit dodgy.

If you ever want to power up pick up Joe, Mito, or Kenmochi, since they use really advanced vocabulary but I wouldn't recommend them for a beginner.

You should learn japanese from the things you find fun even if it's not in japanese.
So tell us the EN vtubers you already watch, I might be able to give a close recommendation.

I recommend that you listen to some dudes every once in a while too, or you'll end up like my friends who speak like women.
