the secret is to know WHERE to put the money. MoneyBird and Cimrai put too much money into their personal assets and not enough into content that would bring in more viewers.

you poorfags really latch on to the "b-b--b-b-b-b-but they have money!" shit. the dude barely bought any art aside from some stream assets and a vroid until after he made it .

IDK how much you watch him, but I've followed him for 2 years and he's part of the reason I became a vtuber. He does commission a good amount of art, but he'll pretty much give his money to anyone. He's an artist that likes supporting artists but he does have one person he's consistently commissioned for a while now. His main pull has still always been that he's an artist who isn't just sitting there quietly, people like his personality.

The idea that you can just buy views from having good art is a bit silly though, nothing guarantees the artist's audience even cares about vtubers or the person the art is for unless you're commissioning large artists who are also VTubers.

2) How do you feel about twitch teams? Do you have an ideal team you would want to see?
3) Are there any vtuber team themes or group themes you think would be cute?
4) Tell me something about your day!

>1) Are you enjoying the stream, /wVT/?
I am! Its good to see her doing well. She's designed a fun stream for today.
>2) How do you feel about twitch teams? Do you have an ideal team you would want to see?
Most of the time I'm hardly aware of them, but that might be because not many teams actually emphasize or utilize them much. Yokomeshi seems to do alright since it's not a very big group and they work together, so it does actually feel like a group. Then you have huge groups like Monster Girls with 266 members and none of them work together. Fantasy Ink seems to be working out alright and is a good idea, but I don't like this "oh we're not like those animay girls we're different" thing that seems to lurk in the background.
>3) Are there any vtuber team themes or group themes you think would be cute?
Not sure anymore. It could have been fun if there was an actual africat group, but Ari has her own group and as it turns out Puji never was a cat to begin with. In the past I might've suggested something like what VirtualOneesans is trying to do but that one's a bit disappointing. Maybe if Nina and/or Tanya and Neko ends up joining a group it'd be nice to see what that would be like.
>4) Tell me something about your day!
I slept in way too long and I might have to force myself to bed to avoid repeating this mistake...

Don't have an ideal team I wanna see but for the most part they're of limited purpose unless they actually collab often to build a sense of community across several streamers.
>Are there any vtuber team themes or group themes you think would be cute?
I think chemistry is more important than theme for group collabs, but I wouldn't mind seeing a group of chuubas with some kind of fantasy theme either playing D&D as their personas or a game like Mordhau.

Maybe! I wish I were good enough to join the artist chuubas, but I am still a hobbyist at best. More reps!!! MORE REPSSS!
But you also have to remember, sometimes teams are just done for fun. I think a lot of you are holo-live adjacent rather than twitch streamer-adjacent, so you are used to structure and things being well planned, bwahaha. A lot of twitch teams are not quite done for what is "useful". Sometimes people do things for fun or because it would be nice to team up.

I think an issue is often people are only at the stream for that person so they never to think to click on a team link. So usually the only exposure to others would be directly on stream.
> since you cannot always raid your best friends.
True, but you can always talk about them on stream, and that lets the streamer tailor their message about the other people instead of just a team page.
I think to use a thread relevant example almost no one knew/cared about Shimada/Komatsu or Shirara each being part of their own twitch team until they both left theirs.

It's something larger streamers do and I like to think most of them are a lot smarter in maximizing viewers than you or me or anyone /here/. It's something all large streaming groups do and even orgs require it.

A lot of streaming is who you're associated with since groups typically do better unless you're like a Youtuber or something who swapped to streaming and do everything solo anyway. It's why all the top VTubers associate with the same dozen or so streamers they work with. The taka/cimrai group, VShojo girls before they even had a company, Krimbo's Krew, etc. It's better to grow together. Even at the very top of Twitch, most of the top streamers grew together with the help of other streamers in their circles.

Finally.. I answer alium questions!!

>1) Are you enjoying the stream, /wVT/?
I've been out all day but I caught the tail end of Koragi and now watching Maid! They are cute... I wish I could talk in their chats ehehehe..

>2) How do you feel about twitch teams? Do you have an ideal team you would want to see?
Twitch teams are ok from an outsiders perspective, but as a chuuba, it makes me feel belonged or apart of something. I'm always hopping between people and friend groups, so getting invited to one would make me feel a sense of belonging and friendship.

My ideal team would be gremlin chuubas! Maybe Kimi, Yoro, Coqui, Callie etc. would be such a cute duo!

>3) Are there any vtuber team themes or group themes you think would be cute?
I want to attempt a big idol VTuber group.. where we can make covers with each other and do charity concert/karaoke events often!

4) Tell me something about your day
I saw the blue angels and other cool planes! Now I'm getting a big domino's pizza~

2) They make it easy to interact with other streamers, do raids n stuff. Other than that, I think it should just be a group of like-minded people.

3) Not really, themes and such aren't good metrics for streamer enjoyability.

4) I had to wrangle with my profs because none of them properly write down when their classes happen, if they're online or not and I swear to god, the dude didn't even write my name correctly when he answered me. >Are you enjoying the stream, /wVT/?
YES! So many people came out to support the dog! I wonder if her streams will have more viewers now that she's only doing Saturday streams? I remember back when her games with viewers would take a while to fill, and I don't see that happening again in the near future. Her new model is also great!

>How do you feel about twitch teams?
Pretty indifferent, honestly. Everyone I follow on a team doesn't leverage it at all so in my mind it's just a title.

>Are there any vtuber team themes or group themes you think would be cute?
I want a team of chuubas that primarily focus on hobby stuff. I love that type of content and not very many people do it (likely because it takes more work up front for each stream).

>Tell me something about your day!
I got the house decorated for halloween before the koragi stream, didn't even fall off a ladder this year!

No questions, but I just wanna say that stream last night was incredibly good, one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I could tell how how much work went into it and I appreciate all of it.

I feel kind of conflicted personally because my oshi usually has a stream at pretty much this exact time every weekend. However she streams more than once a week, and I really did miss this dog. Maybe I'll just catch the VODs for those the next day so I can watch Koragi, I don't know. I probably wouldn't consider it if I just wanted to watch her, but I genuinely feel bad for missing most of tonight's stream and I guess if a vtuber can get me feeling like that I owe them something at least.

2) I don't particularly like twitch teams. I think they're pretty anti-unity (yes unityfags like me are still around)... They would have to be themed somehow, or close friends, or it just doesn't work (see yokomeshi - great chuubas but apart from yozo and s it seems like a mish mash)
3) I'd like to see a "man out of time" team, but unfortunately 2 of my picks for that have graduated...

twitch teams are just a marketing tool, but are more valid than 90% of hololarp companies

unfortunately themes are rarely kept consistent, game choices factor into this as much as the personality of the talents, and if people are too similar their chemistry won't be very interesting to see

I don't remember where I picked up the phrase but I've used it in lieu of 'time traveler'. Someone from the future or the past, or someone stuck in a certain era... Like if someone only bought furniture and clothes from the 1950s, I would see them and describe them as a man (that stepped) out of (a certain) time.
>What kind of team do you think would help with with cohesion without hurting unity
If you were being exclusive with your selection, probably people that could represent /here/ indirectly. Best foot forward, and all, but people that wouldn't let it go to their heads if they got traction, and would still try to lift everyone else up with them...

Oh! Gosh, I feel so bad. All my good readings have sort of died off of Twitch. If you want, I can upload them to Youtube! I have the Vods, but not the highlights because I got foolish and stopped highlighting my readings. But here are a few of my own. I lost maybe 4 or 5 readings due to not backing them up in time back when I only had 2 weeks of backup... I was not very healthy back then and kept messing up highlights and I regret it a lot. I might seriously go back and redo all my readings since now I know how work my audio!

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/942334457 - Exhalation by Ted Chiang (one of my favorites!)

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/947274803 - The Last Question by Isaac Asimov

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/950353372 - Inconstant Moon by Larry Niven

I really enjoyed finding the sounds for Inconstant Moon and for A Sound of Thunder (which I unfortunately did not highlight at the time).
I really love reading science fiction, and I have an active imagination, so when I started, my goal was to help people see the stories I do in my own head. I still want to. I just got myself a little burned out, I think...

I get decent views on my reading streams, but it's definitely less than my average music or gaming streams. But I really like doing them, and the viewers who stop by for them seem to really appreciate them, and find them relaxing and/or interesting, so I think there's definitely viewer interest. It just may be a smaller niche than you're used to streaming to. For what it's worth, I felt incredibly flattered when a viewer told me that my reading to them helped them fall asleep.

I think reading streams are at their best when the person reading reads clearly and expressively, and can discuss and explain what they're reading. The nature of reading streams makes chat engagement more difficult, so I think the streamer should be able to provide context. There needs to be value that the viewer wouldn't gain from reading it themselves, you know?

So any amount of interest would be more than that.

you'd have to go out of your way to cultivate an audience of 13 year olds. where do anons keep coming up with this bullshit? do you regularly end up watching shit you're not interested in because the algorthim just puts you there and how long do you stick around watching a stream that doesn't interest you at all? social media is all algorithm based now. if your audience is made up 13 year olds, that's because you're creating content that appeals to them and they fall within an viewerbase that clicks and watches your content.

I can sorta "cheat" that since I speed read and slot sentences together in my mind, but anything with less common prose makes me slow way down. So if you're gonna do it, I'd recommend reading it on you're own first.

Seriously, only the top most streamers have this. I got into it with an anon who bitched about it in the earlier /vt/ days and say in Silvervale's stream for 10 minutes (which was a lot nicer than I thought it would be) and took screenshots just to show that even a big chat like hers isn't like that. I watch a lot of the top-most streamers and they've literally conditioned their audience and routinely admit they're farming this or that emote or reaction.

People here just like to bitch about content targeting the "lowest common denominator" when that's all any vtuber panders to anyway.

>I WANT TO HAVE A LITERATURE CLUB! but more along the lines of analysis and explanation
I know yoro used to do this, i'm not sure why they stopped, but there is definitely still a market for this I think, i don't remember those too much worse than her regular content
it may be a lot of work to do and won't be something for everyone, but the people that it will be for, will very much appreciate it because it just isn't common, so if you do go through with it make sure to not get hung up worrying about numbers or anything like that and just go for it
i'm not a very avid reader but the things I have read I enjoy talking in depth about the themes and history behind the writing, so depending on the format you choose it could have a lot broader appeal than you might realize.
short story or short play readalongs like highschool english classes would probably work really well for something analysis based

I don't know too much about the usual strategies for bitrate, but my two cents is that I think 720p with decent bitrate is a good compromise for being pleasant to watch, much less and I find it offputting. How do you even do this? I always feel awkward when a hype train starts because I have zero control over it and it feels like the ultimate shilling...

>Stop playing games that suck / you don't like
This is a given, but a good piece of advice I guess? But how do you know what to play then? Do you want to appeal to the lowest common denominator, or go with games you know really well?

>Shitpost on Twitter
Does this actually do anything though? I see a lot of lolrandom posts that don't seem to get much engagement, and I always assumed that the only people to follow indies on Twitter are other indies.

Does tiktok debuff your videos if you swear in them? I'm getting ~200 average views on a clip if I don't curse at all, and ~2 if I do. But I don't know if it checks the sound, or the subtitles, or what.
