People who sub but don't watch: why?

being a dd means you love all girls equally even if you dont have time to watch all of them
don't come to this board if you're not subbed to every holo by default

>> No.1153356

Nobody does it. You won't see anyone here who do it, simply because it sucks getting spammed with sub videos for something you don't watch.

I subbed to Kiara out of pity, but I am not a big enough saviourfag to actually watch her shitty content

I'm only subbed to ppl I watch, but sometimes the stream isn't interesting to me, I'm busy with something else, or someone else I'd rather watch is on at the same time

I'm subscribed to over 900 channels, I literally don't care

>> No.1153620

I'm only subbed to Ina and Pekora but I don't watch Ina live because the times she does stream are inconvenient for me.

>> No.1153710

>>1153207
I do it because livestreams show up first in the subscription feed which makes it easier to skip over. And once it gets uploaded it's not hard to ignore as I've already seen the thumbnail and know what to skip just at a glance.
Other than that it helps me keep up unless a chuuba I'm mildly interested in does a stream that really appeals to me that I'd otherwise miss. It's also a nice feeling knowing I've helped their growth which in turn makes them happy and will perhaps motivate them to do interesting content in the future.

>> No.1153770

There's a ton of girls that I like but don't have enough time to watch
Basically I have a hierarchy of
Oshi (1): will watch all her streams no matter how boring the game is
Member (3): belong to their membership and will watch most of their streams, usually as archive because they stream at the same time as each other or my oshi
Watch (5): will sometimes watch their streams if they're playing something interesting or say, they're a good singer and are doing a karaoke stream. I have joined their membership for a month at a time to check out their members content, but don't feel it's worth being a permanent member
Subscribe (9): chubas who I like a lot but just not as much as the rest and I feel bad about not having the time to watch full streams, but will sometimes watch clips, I want to give them something at least so I subscribe to them even though it clutters my subscription feed
Sorry for the autism I'm not even sure why I typed this all out but It'd be a waste to delete now so here you go I guess

Tons of people do it, how do you think so many of the Hololive girls have gone from like 300k subs to millions with barely any increase in their live viewer numbers proportionally to their subs increase?

Maybe these idiot chuubas should follow what streamers have been doing since 2012-2013 and hire fucking editors to make video content of their streams. Oh wait, that'd require them to actually interact with a human being and they'd rather lose money to clipfag channels.

>> No.1155135

>>1153207
It must be a zoomer thing and I don't get you people, I'm busy most of the time doing shit and I still tune in to most of my chuubas when they are live even if just for background noice or tto half-heartedly watch them with one eye.
I count as one of their viewers even if I don't watch but mostly listen and it works out because I live alone and don't like the silence.

Also it's unrealistic to think most of us have the spare time to dedicate our full attention to a stream unless you no-life it and do nothing but that throught the whole day. I don't think most of us can watch a girl play minecraft without having to step off for a bit and maybe tune back when she screams over something or something interesting happens to grab back your attention.

>background noise
I'm not ADHD or a closet schizo trying to drown out the voices, so my preferred background noise is silence. I don't pretend that multitasking exists either. If I click a stream it's in order to actively watch that stream, I'm not going to open it for any other reason.

There was a vtuber I didn't want to forget the name of but didn't want to sub to, so I liked her stream so it'd show up in the liked playlist to see later.

>> No.1158755

>>1153207
I sub only to those that I watch. I made an exception for Gura once, to help her reach the 2 million mark, then unsubbed 2 days after. Adding that +1 to their subcount is often the only way for people to have any sort of impact on vtubers' channels if they don't want or can't watch them. It is a bit dishonest/artificial, but if it helps a vtuber and you don't mind, then who cares?
>>1154427
Nigger-chama, clipfags are to vtubers what streamers have been to game companies for years – free advertisement. Why bother hiring an editor when you have a few slav-I mean passionate fans- churning out content dragging massess for you for free? Let them earn their own pittance money and feel some fulfillment at once. Bonus points for attracting foreign and/or monolingual crowd because of translations.
>>1157042
You might not be ADHD or a closet schizo, but you're still turbo autistic if a concept of listening to something (music, podcasts, streams) while doing something else is this much foreign, nonsensical or an attempt to "drown out the voices" to you. I refuse to believe you're this fucking obtuse and out of touch.
>>1157864
No, feel free to watch them whenever and however you want. You're still there and supporting them, although if you really like a vtuber and watch them often, you might want giving them that slight bump while getting an easier access to their content by subscribing, it's just more logical and intuitive. Unless you have some weird, personal stance on the idea of subscribing to a channel, but that's not something I will help you with. If you don't think a vtuber is satisfying to you and/or deserves your sub or any other form of your support, don't force yourself to do so. Just don't become an anti or a doxnigger, and you're set.

Some of us have boring office jobs. One of my coworker is Hispanic and she's 40 and still listens to her Spanish music while working.
