I think there's actually nothing wrong with the talent. The girls are entertaining, they're good at streaming, they have good designs, good voices, it's all there.
It's either a marketing issue, or a cultural issue. I don't know enough about Indonesia to say how much of the population is a realistic market. If the market is big enough, then I think it must be an issue with Cover's marketing.

That is it, Japanese fans don't have the basic knowledge in Indonesian that they might have in english so they won't go there, same with weaboos and their "knowledge" of Japanese, somewhat opening the Japanese youtubers to the western market.
There is also the fact Indonesia is quite conservative seeing Islam has a cultural hegemony over the country. Which not only inhibits certain behaviors from the youtuber that might attract foreign audiences, but turn off their people from the idea itself, especially seeing the "pagan" themes on certain youtubers.

It's youtube not counting ad block views. This has been known for months now. It's why EN has also experienced a gigantic drop in viewers while people like Pekora are mostly unaffected. Japs tend to not use adblock.
Like people have pointed out, when EN and ID girls use the poll function the vote total is always significantly higher then the view total. Every fucking thread about "ID and EN dying" is utter fucking bullshit. In truth they're still pulling close to the same numbers they were pulling last year. it's just that youtube doesn't display it because their CEO is a covetous jewess.
