After council debuted, I just lost interest in all of it. I use to fantasize and daydream about Hololive EN members living in my house and having a good time. But now that these new Vtubers are introduced, I'm starting to have trouble imaging scenarios where I could see them in my mind. I have a vivid memory of each of the 5 holomyth characters. How they act, how they speak, how they interact. I have it played out in my head. But when I watched the debut of each one and some more clips. It felt like there are no magic. Like I felt like it was a chore to continue watching them. I'm starting got have fits about this when I sleep or when I think about it. Everytime when I do, I would start having uncontrollable bursts of mumblings and even quiet shouts about it. "It won't work, It doesn't Work. It won't Work!". I was pacing around the house like this for an hour until my mother stopped me. I don't know what it is. I do love all five of them. But the other new characters do not blend in well with me. Its like my mind has become a canvas full of dirty, hot mesh of paint instead of a portrait of 5 maidens and me cooking a meal in the kitchen and playing some minecraft after. Its starting to make me lose interest and I'm afraid of losing that attachment after everything I've developed. I'm very scared. I don't know what to do.

Nijisanji EN. If your issue with the Council is their quality then NijiEN got you covered. It's the only EN group where I watch everyone and trust me, I can't stand and refuse to watch vtubers that I personally don't relate to so the fact that I do for all of them speaks volumes. This is my personal rating of the members:

Pomu > Rosemi > Selen > Elira > Finana > Petra

I love Pomu and Rosemi especially because they regularly do a variety of different streams rather than just the usual Gaming, Zatsudan and Singing trinity. But really, I love everyone, including Petra. They also have the best collabs I have ever seen in a EN group.

People will think it's the usual trolling but yes, I actually agree with the above sentiments. NijiEN has something Hololive lost. First, their collabs are superb. That Nico Park collab was the best vtuber content I've ever seen, it's downright hilarious. Then there's Rosemi's gameshow one and so on. Point is even when the collabs are just between two girls the way they interact with each other just blows HoloEN's collabs out of the water. It's not even a competition. The whole way NijiEN girls interact with each other is much more natural and genuine. My guess is that this is because HoloEN girls by and large are genuine shut-ins. Gura especially. And speaking of Gura, the magic is almost entirely gone. It's hard to explain, but she seems utterly distant and disconnected from the audience, like she's really just playing a part. It wasn't like that in the beginning at all, she was attached to and relied on us a whole lot more. Now she feels... like a run of the mill celebrity. I also suspect she doesn't want to do member streams and doesn't enjoy them at all anymore. Basically all member streams of hers in recent memory were her just phoning it in, going through the motions. It feels bad. Simply put watching early Gura and some of her godtier streams like the gardening one and now fucking hurts, because she simply isn't the same person anymore. She became a shallow entertainer with no emotional substance.

Going back to Niji - Rosemi slowly started to experiment with content, has great ideas, and on top of it all interacts with us in a genuine manner. Her current life situation also struck a chord with many of us. Pomu is Pomu, the woman knows what she's doing and is a genuine weeb, and on top of that her life experiences are both significant and vast, so with her you also get a feel her words carry weight when she's talking about something serious. Selen isn't for me because I'm an older guy, but I totally get it why people like her. Her way of doing things is something that appeals to teenagers and twenty somethings, and if I were that I'd like her too. She also has the power of bantz - she brought out the best out of Petra in their collab because she teased her mercilessly, and contrary to what you might think Petra isn't submissive, but simply quiet and somewhat reserved. So she'd banter back in full force and the whole stream was fun. Petra herself gets a bad rap because people assume she's simply a wallflower, when in fact she's a strong-willed foul mouthed penguin. And by God she can sing, and her Peter voice does strange things to us all. Finana and Elira are great as well, I always enjoy watching their streams.

Point is out of Holo I only watch Gura, but all NijiEN girls appeal to me or I get why people watch them but not me (Selen's case). And I'm getting really disappointed in Gura from day to day. And fuck minecraft, she got hooked on that crap game for some reason and I just... don't watch that. Speaking of which, I don't watch any of the HoloEN2. They just don't do it for me. I gave each a fair chance.
