So after IRyS hit almost 8k today I decided to take a look at a bunch of her streams for the past couple weeks. I always said she was a guaranteed 6k but it seems that, aside from random ID collabs and debuff games, it seems to be a guaranteed 7-8k now with 12-15k for singing. She seems to be getting more popular and I think that is great. Her fanbase also seems super engaged, like, more so then you would think for a Holo of that size. Just look at her general here, it always moves super fast.

In a weird way its almost like her weird model actually worked out for her. While it may have turned off the casuals I think it made her loyalists just that much loyal. Almost like they saw the overall negative reception to her model and just dug their heels in harder and became that much more dedicated because of it to "prove the haters wrong".

Its quite fascinating looking at her incline.

Anyway, going back. I'm really impressed with Selen. She's definitely the runaway hit for both NijiEN waves. It also contextualizes why she had that menhera moment a couple of weeks back about feeling pressure. I really didn't get it at first since she's supposed to have a lot more freedom compared to other company chuubas but seeing her being in the spotlight and how NijiEN is trying to be more holo-like in terms of connecting waves, etc. I kinda feel that she felt obligated to hard carry the group in terms of numbers. I do worry that her main draw tends to be apex, a game that's not exactly popular with the EN market. The last thing I think anyone wants is to be known as a one trick pony.
