I wasn't in it before the Hololive boom, but around the time 27JK started, honestly I don't really stand it, I hate the way some (read SOME) people act. I don't want to think "fucking EOPs" when I read certain posts but sometimes it's just so obvious when they're shitting everything up with 0 knowledge of what they're talking about.
And I say this as someone who started watching vtubers without knowing an iota of Japanese other than 'kawaii' for like 6 months. You can very much be EOP and still act normal. Translators and translation apps exist. But still, I think a lot of the shitposting tends to come from tourists. You see a lot of rrats repeated from the archives. As well as dramas that are more dire than the ones that get brought up all the time but since they weren't pushed by schizos, no one cares to bring them up again.
A part of me is also sad that Hololive x Nijisanji has slowed down and some of my favorite collabs might not happen again, but again I'm not mad at the talents themselves, shit happens and sometimes you go down different paths. Thanks for reading my blog.

Hololive, despite its immense success, was still a pretty cozy and fun community prior to the HoloMyth debut. Yeah there were still shitposts and schizo antis but it was nowhere NEAR as bad as it is now. I was completely right when I said that an English branch would totally and irreversibly wreck the fanbase and destroy the soul of the company, but even I didn't really expect things to metastasize to the point we're at now.

I don't think it's exactly the fault of Holos because the rule not to bring up other vtubers is an universal rule that they themselves repeatedly attempt to tardwrangle their own fans around. But they grew way too fast and absorbed way too many people at a very short time. And yes, for that reason they're the single worst vtubers fanbase to be around so far.
