Writeanons, how are things coming along? I've just started writing my next chapter after finally having a breakthrough. If any of you have done the same, maybe we will see more here later?

this. fucking miyuki in the ass was only around 1800 words but it took me one sitting of 8 hours to write
i absolutely cannot simply let words flow out onto paper. not only is the wording usually unsatisfactory, but it also stops me from properly fleshing out the direction of the scene in my head.
usually i'll figure out the next action in the scene, write it down, try to condense it so there's not as much superfluous description that might lose a reader's train of thought... then realise that i haven't left myself much of a foothold to figure out the next scene, or that the way this paragraph ends doesn't match the direction i want the story to go.
so i'll go back and re-think what's happening, then i'll figure out how i want events to progress in such a way that it smoothly flows into the next scene... and the end result of all this admittedly needless fiddling is one successfully written paragraph.

i'm quite envious of writers whom can let forth a deluge of focused narrative directly from the wellspring of their imagination, such as archiveanon when writing lies come to light

As for the second question, I don't make it perfect. A lot of the time I'll read over a story I've written and find that I'm not satisfied with the wording or the way things flow, but don't really know what to add or erase to fix it. I generally workshop everything in my head first and either do a rough outline in point form, or blitz through the whole story in 1-2 sittings.
