NTA but from what I recall she's done a couple of gaffes like drawing 6 fingers or two left hands on a character, the other anon might be referring to those

Not to say she's garbage at anatomy or that breaking anatomical rules for appeal isn't a thing, but it's true she isn't "unparalleled"; I'd wager you could find concept artists or illustrators with more technical skill on artstation with relative ease. I respect her business acumen - she's very good at making a living with what she does - but I do think there are better artists to look to for in regards to fundamental strength.

well yeah im not going to pretend like shes a god at fundamentals, in the same style of pin up work artgerm is far more proficient in terms of having solid figure drawing and one of the best at it. what shes unparalleled in is the amount of detail and rendering work in the time frame she works with. it takes riot about 3 weeks to create a splash art, she can pump out a quality painting out in 2 days. compare her quality to other speed demons like CSR, the quality is day and night and is nothing short of insanity if you actually do art yourself and compare what you can do in 18 hours

I'm inclined to disagree - there are concept designers / storyboard artists / visdev folk who work under similarly tight 1-2 day deadlines, and can produce equivalent or better work in the same timeframe. I'm not familiar with the pinup art community, but concept artists like yanqi917 / Quentin de Warren or even more traditional splash illustrators like Krenz Cushart should be more than capable of achieving results within the given timeframe. The courses and demos from Krenz in particular have most of the value structures and colors laid in within the first hour or two, even in live demos - rendering and texturing materials after that for another 10-14 hours isn't exactly a skill unique to sakimichan.

There are no fundamental differences between anime pinups and concept art and anyone who says there is does not know how to draw. Samkimi just has a style that a lot of people enjoy, her rendering speed or anatomy or levels of precision are not new or unique. You can find incredible artists like Janemere who can out a full illustration in 12 hours but only once a month, or yoshi the tsugumomo guy who can draw a whole monthly manga on his own and has some of the best anatomical consistency in the business, or old drawings like Doyora (rip) who put stuff out on the damn weekend waifu drawthreads timeframe. Plenty of concept artists draw huge anime titties too, you're just not looking.
