There's a lot of dead time still. If they're smart they'll sort of their streaming times out so as not to overlap too much, or management will do it for them. If they're dumb they'll all try to go at 6-11 PM EST on random nights without consulting each other so you'll have 100% dead nights and then nights with 4 people streaming at the same time.

Simple. You can't. I for one suffer pretty heavily from FOMO and I subscibe easily but have ahrd time unsubscrbing someone, meaning that across twitch and youtube, I'm probably subscribed to 40 or 50 chuubas (not all hololive) and my feed is beyond fucked. With that being said, I frequently watch the five ENs and a few indies (something like 8-9 in total), but I can only really do so because my uni is doing a digital-only semester because of the coof.

Those who probably left or stopped watching HoloEN1 but remained subscribed might come back and interest themselves on the newer talents. Just like how HoloID and HoloJP were cannibalized when the next generation shows up. Oh wait, it didn't. Just regular interest that ebbs and flows for who is more entertaining at that time.
