Cover just doesnt have the asset liquidity to do what Anycolor does overall. That and they do have a problem with their management being shitty overall (See Mel as to see how corrupt they are). Fortunately for them, they had a really good break with Covid and Clippers benefiting them in 2020 so that they blew up. We will see if it holds up long term, but theres no denying that lightning struck them good in 2020.

A lot of luck, the right conditions, and a good character design certainly affects how popular someone can be, but after debut the talent behind the avatar plays an integral element as well. Council the most recent example shows this as Baelz before debut was looking to be the front runner in views and subs within her generation since she looked like the Gura of her group but after debut she fell behind Kronii due to her not matching up with the expectations and Kronii's voice and attitude getting a bunch of attention.
