So, to start from something
People got strongly attracted by the design, me included. It looks the least bizarre out of all, she genuinely looks human and isn't that much of some chuuni shit like the others. I like human-looking chuubas. So here's the first part.
Second part is that whole history/civilization lore. It's the least abstract out of all, so, once again, highest attraction. I'm totally into history and cultural stuff, so I've been expecting things like ethnography stream or history lessons. Quite a lot of people are.
I honestly have no fucking idea how that concept of her focusing on strategy games was born, especially how I managed to get into that despite intentionally not browsing /vt/ prior to their debuts. Maybe it's inherently connected to history buffs, maybe you "think" civilization and the obvious thing is, well, Civilization games and more. Generally two niches not a single popular chuuba has even tried to actively fill.
Ther's also one thing: There were hopes for someone European. History and culture aren't the first thing you're thinking about when thinking about Americas. We'd get some rarer language and possibly EU hours, something EXTREMELY rare. So, to sum it up:

Which is why seniority badges are important for livestreamers, and not tiered sub. To show how long you have stayed loyal as a patron.
