For live views they almost certainly are, and they recently moved above Noripro and will soon pass .LIVE for total subs (well not counting their dead channels), 774 is still quite a long way ahead in that metric though. In terms of superchats 774 and Noripro are definitely higher, and .LIVE is roughly the same, I'm sure all the sponsorships they've been doing makes up for that though.

70% of membership fees go to Cover+talent.
Assuming the 50/50 split is true for memberships as it is for SCs, 35% of membership fees go to the talents.

Let's take that 17k that floats around for 'minimum' of Gura's memberships. Assume that, since that's the minimum, they're all $5 memberships and not a sea of some funnymoney like ARS. That's ~1mil MINIMUM before Cover+YT cuts, or ~$350,000 a year in memberships alone.

You can blame that on Veibae in particular and the collective "ENVTuber" (more like ENVTweeters) for that.

I didn't too. The only reason any collab with VShojo happened was because the sheer weight of Calli opinion on how EN things should be handled.
Even Kiara wouldn't be able to pull it off (and she tried her hardest) and Gura 100% was not onboard with any of that.

Most "debut buff" subs will happen in the 2 days prior the debut and 5 days after.

I think YouTube intentionally slowing their growth somewhat hurts future growth, not just by people thinking twice after seeing decreased subs, but by higher subs and growth creating more hype that leads to more growth. They are really fighting for everything they get.

Unless you are comparing Hololive with Hololive 2020 there is not a single agency, company or streamer that generated more hype of got better numbers than HoloCouncil right now.

More than that: Holocouncil generated so much hype it trickled down and buffed even HoloMyth, with Gura, Ina and Amelia getting numbers they were not getting one week prior that debut.
Mission accomplished?

Tall order to fill considering "you" and "me" have a very muddy meaning in a site and board that does not really keep track of posters.
I can try tho: the hype machine provided by Hololive turned 4 otherwise anonymous streamers (whose past live is deliberately obfuscated and hidden) into 200k subs 10k guaranteed live viewers in 10 days time.

That truly doesn't look deficient in any way, unless of course you are comparing it with Hololive 2020 that could do likewise but into 300k subs instead.

By how much? No real way to calculate, this is the first time this has happened.
At least comparing to Niji Eden gang, who had a longer hype watch period at ~3 weeks, while Council seems to be entering a normal growth period already, driven by their and Myth's streams as opposed to jut debut hype. But it's very likely still to early to call that. We'll see.

That, ironically, is a HUGE debuff on Hololive. If you look at Roboco or Choco audiences they prefer when they are struggling and advancing "against all odds" in a field that is stacked against then.

Contrast and compare with Aqua and Matsuri whose APEX audience FUCKING LOATH whenever they perform below their stated potential and SEETHE at any setback without ever giving them any praise for performing at the level they are supposed to.

Kuzuha could stop streaming until 2023 and Kanae would not catch up to him in either subs, hours wasted or VOD views.

A bit higher than normal for Fubuki
Debuff, Lamy gets more playing Minecraft
Regular Okayu numbers

Overall it's not a buff game in the slightest. And it seems people dropped out of Fubuki's stream unlike Fuwa's, where he maintained them all the way through: https://piyo.chats.ninja/video/youtube/DhFEqlAqwfU

I think that's actually around Lamy's numbers when she overlaps with a bunch of JPs. Her minecraft streams are actually her buff streams, like for most Holos.

>Overall it's not a buff game in the slightest.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that, it's a buff game for some and not for others. It's one of the shittiest Chilla's art games afterall.

Fuwa's stream was 1:40 long and he ended after the credits.

Fubuki's stream was 3 hrs long because she kept playing after the credits for some reason.
She was between 10-12k for the first playthrough and only dropped significantly after the credits.

One of the best months I've ever seen for a vtuber. He probably didn't plan it for the numbers, but the buffstacking week after week was insane. Felt like there were more special streams than normal streams for him this month.

Marine also buffed to absurd levels these past 2 months, but her 2 latest streams were "only" ~20k which dragged her median down somehow.

But then they would have to be idols.
One of the main appeals of VSpo is that they interact with the pros and semi-pro esports orgs, which are majority male. So you get something that is almost unique to vtubing, which is the fabled teetee between boys and girls. Nijisanji has this too, but not nearly as frequently. OreApo is the standout example of this (Hinano and Kamito, ex-pro vtuber (who says he isn't a vtuber)).
Most of the girls are great comedians - Nazuna, Beni, Hinano, Lisa, and Sumire in particular. This leads to great banter. It's rare to have dead air, even when they are grouped with people they have never met before.
The nature of what they do means they all have to interact with loads of different people all the time. So things never get stale. One day Beni is doing scrims with someone from CR and a minecraft streamer, the next she's playing battlefield with people from a dozen different orgs.

This just couldn't happen in Hololive as it is - they would have to be a separate branch with different rules.

That shit doesn't make money and people who only watch hetero teetee to self insert aren't gonna be a long time fans. They're even worse than tourist since they don't even watch vtuber for entertainment.
Hololive become the biggest vtuber company and all of their girls are successful because they don't do that hetero teetee shit. Nijisanji's top CCV and views earner like Kuzuha, Kanae, Kenmochi, Mito, Lize all have their main official gay pair so any hetero shipbait moment can be seen as irrelevant(because the only real serious relationship is with their gay partner), that's why they're successful, you can see this with Tomoe too so it's not only affect viewership but superchat too.

Some of the mid to big Hololive clipper channels has monetization and someone here previously said that they earn a healthy amount every month which I forget rather than being hired by Cover themselves especially those that translates JP clips. You're wrong there, the shipping isn't for self-insert watchers. It's for normies. Why else do you think gossip rags love to report about which celebrities are fucking and reality TV shows always focus on the flirting and pairing up? How celebrity power couples like Brangelina always took up a massive amount of media attention? That shit sells. That's mainstream numbers right there waiting to be had, and while Nijisanji has made some attempts to grab it they haven't really tried that hard.

This is where Vspo can really shine, they have a real chance to break into the mainstream here if they play their cards right. Depending on the type of celebs they manage to hook they might even surpass Hololive and Nijisanji. It's a smart tactic and I hope it works out for them.

The only one delusional here is the one ignoring the mass market potential of streamer shipping in making numbers incline. Again, Vspo's main appeal is in their skill in shipping themselves with guys. Look, I think both of you are correct, in some ways. Some of the VSpo incline because their interaction with male streamers (whether it's ship/non-ship). Hinano with Kamito, then Spygea (I found it both hilarious and cringy that some viewers of DTN called Hinano Spygea's wife) and Dao/Rader. Beni with the CR members like Darusaka, Mondo, and CPT. They even made a pseudo-family bond. Lisa and her comedic-duo with Hendy, although she's inclining more due to her, Reid, and Kou's success in the tournament.

But most of them (and even the ones I have already mentioned) inclined due to their own charm. Beni already inclining even before her interactions with CR, simply due to her design and voice. Nazuna due to her Nazunews. Noah/Sumire/Nose due to both their skills in APEX and interactions with other popular streamers via tournaments.

The problem is that they'll hit their cap below Nijisanji if they continue on the same course instead of looking to swap upwards. Look at the mistake Nijisanji made recently, for example, denying rumours that one of their livers was the cause for a celebrity couple breakup. They'd have been better off saying nothing - or better yet tacitly encourage it - and letting the drama drive even more mainstream traffic to their streams.
>>8923854
Shipbait is the potential of a ship forming, not an official ship. That drives views. It enhances views even more when a ship eventually forms, and acts as an emergency button to get media attention some months or years down the line when the ship gets boring, by having a public breakup. That's basic entertainment knowledge and if the Vspo girls aren't actually doing what they're uniquely positioned to do, they're not living up to their potential.

New EN2 wave, which has the potential to cause issues for Niji viewership if council primarily pulls viewers from existing v-tuber viewership.
Also since people are more active since EN2 is out, bait threads get even more traction for (you) farming.

Yea, mid-stream ads would make me fuck pretty hard, and I know I'm not the only one.

speaking of 'subscribe bots' from an archived thread last week.

>what happened
YT flags subs that are made by accounts which subcribes to the same 5 (in this case) channels simulatenously in a short period of time.

>how do you know this
happened to NijiEN, to Edengumi, to HoloEN2, to NijiKR(6?), etc on their announcement and debuts. more so to HoloEN2 since EOP are subwhores and subbed immediately to the new girls regardless of anything.
Note that IRyS completely avoids this as she debuts alone, therefore no simultaneous subscribing takes place.

>why only vtubers
Its not only vtubers, if you look into @TeamYoutube tweets/replies, you'll find similar cases, mostly to new or small channels. most likely because YT's algo only checks this sort of behaviour when it detects a channel gained a considerable of subs in a short period of time (when a channel increased its subcount by more than 10% in a day, for example).
There is also one case where theres a 10-channel normie tuber collab and they all gain ~1k subs. YT then slash ~500 subs from all of them with little to no reason given out by YT when they complained.

>how can YT's AI be this retarded?
wont be the first time. and if you consider how a subfarm works, they are sweatshops that have multiple accounts over multiple devices that will subscribe to a fixed list of channels that have paid for their service, probably in a short period of time.
How a large number of fans/boxpushers reacts to a vtubers debut is unfortunately too similar with that and therefore is falsely flagged by YT's AI.

>so when will they return the subs back
not anytime soon, probably never.
the subscribers that are already flagged as spam/invalid are not actually unsubscribed, you will still get notification and all from the channel. its just that your sub wont count in the public subcount.
this is consistent with @TeamYoutube's position on the matter, which is they dont and never remove subs and that they regularly purge subs from inactive/spam accounts.

>but why are there people who claims that they are unsubscribed manually by YT
well YT is apparently such a big fucking mess that the reason some people are experiencing that is because of an entirely unrelated bug where your sublist may not properly sync when you are already subscribed to more than a certain number of channels.

>But then they would have to be idols.
>One of the main appeals of VSpo is that they interact with the pros and semi-pro esports orgs, which are majority male.
Just so you know, Hololive does have members that DO interact with males and none are restricted from doing so. Some of the girls decided that they wanted to farm idolschizos and stonewalled males off the collab roster, while the others do still. But you don't watch Hololive so you don't know and I may have wasted my time explaining something that jumped at me.

So holobros, any arguments for this not being botting? How does it make since for viewers to increase so much while there is nothing going on in the stream with the possibility that it might not happen at all, and then once it actually starts there is barely any bump in viewers and they in fact drop to even lower levels before the stream started?

Why would the botting end right when she actually starts playing?
Isn't it more likely people are just leaving?

You’re making no sense. She started the stream, had tech difficulties, and went back to opening again. This happened twice. When the VOD is up, you will see. I almost didn’t respond to you, because it’s hard to tell if you’re serious or not.

The difference is that it only happened to LazuLight a single time and then never again once they started uploading content to their channels. Holocouncil is STILL losing subs despite their channels being full of content already.

Also, it never happened to Obysdia since they uploaded short videos before debutting.

this behaviour is likely to have been a thing at least from december last year.
both NijiEN gen suffers this bug albeit not as much as holoEN2 as boxpushing arent as prevalent in NijiEN, NijiKR only gets slashed about 500 subscriber iirc. (although from a 1-2k so it did hurt them)

>> No.8927674

>>8927503
prevalence of boxpusher and nijiEN only gets 3-5k daily after debut. so it probably wont trigger the AI. holoEN gets more than 10k subs daily even after debut.

>>8927286
All vtubers that debuts after the 10th are likely to have a harder time for growth. The only way to fix it is to have new debuts including Holos do short videos to appease to the algorithm so that they may not be flagged.
