Let me tell you what actually happens, we were briefed about it and I barely gave a fuck but this is how it actually goes.

What actually happens is that, the subcounts aren't a live feed of the numerical data of the YouTuber, there are brackets on how the system behaves

It means that the higher you are, the less accurate and constant the live feed of your subs becomes, while the lower you are the more accurate your live feed of your numerical data is in terms of sub count.

There's simple reasoning to this, it's because sub activity is more rampant and volatile on 100k brackets and up, while 50k and down are less active.

So what happens then is that, incremental change starts to build up, and it updates all at once.

I don't know in particular what you're referring to, but in terms of bad let's talk about the algorithm.

People assume that if you like a video then that video will get more views exponential as it will be labelled as a video that is desirable, while in reality that's not true.

What the algorithm actually does is this. We reuse and recycle data chunks that we gather from the users and categorize them base on word searches and the network and relationships of those key words, to create an optimized data set of your interest and viewing habits.

Blah blah blah

What this means is that, we put every single news channel on the same category and chunk, same as we put every clip channel as a chunk. So if you click a cnn vid you'll get an msnbc vid, same with clip channels feeding off one another.

But it's a different case for YouTube channels due to their content size, they're a category of their own. So if you click a vtuber channel it doesn't mean you'll get recommend another, so the best way to rise as a You (V)Tuber in actually is create 9-10minute videos that is identified as a High traction vid due to the retention count always being close to 70% where the viewer doesn't only watch 10% and leave. It's even bigger for meme channels that has 4 second vids because their retention count is almost always 100%

So it's not likes nor shares, it's retention count, make of it what you wish with that information.

Most of the time it is, the problem is, is when there are inconsistencies and the system is suddenly put on a strain. This doesn't only apply to subs, an example of this in theory is when a 12k average stream suddenly goes to 160k, this is considered as an anomaly and so regression is necessary.
