FBK was never all that popular on this website, people shat on her for months and called her nothing but ARS cat etc. That changed a bit after the china arc began and she repeatedly showed what she is made of and where her priorities lie. Maybe this is actually the way to go. I can Imagine plenty of Fubukis fans are a bit older and/or privacy-aware and may dislike using Discord(Like me, for example)
It could be possible to build a Fancommunity somewhere else BECAUSE it wouldn't be on Discord.

The problem with Flare is that, as an EOP, I can't fully appreciate what makes her good i.e her humor, snappy and witty comebacks (to chat or to other holos), or literally anything that requires being more than N7.
But I can still appreciate her crazy good building skills in Minecraft and she has some of the more fun collabs within Bakatare and Shiraken. When she's not playing Minecraft she has some nice game variety and really fun singing streams (even if she's not that good).

Knowing all that, have you considered starting to do your reps do understand your oshi and get to know new sides of her? I don't mean that in a condescending way, I did the same for Fubuki and made me appreciate her so much more. She already has a lot of surface appeal but I find a lot of the things that I like about her most get lost in translation/not-understanding. Learning Japanese is challenging but if you do it with the express purpose to understand your oshi I actually find it quite enjoyable and it creates a positive feedback loop where you start out with motivation to understand her and then gain even more motivation from gradually understand her better. I have only been learning for about a year myself so I am by no means perfect but I got far enough to understand (at least the gist of) most things. It's worth giving a shot, I can link you some ressources if you care.

TL;DR is keep doing whatever core deck, download the tango decks from the bottom of my post and do these in addition, they are a better entry to japanese than a core deck. Immerse with anime with japanese subs as soon as possible and start mining words and grammar.

I personally never even looked at Genki, Grammar is less important, you pick up most of it automatically over time but it can't hurt to qt least skim Tae Kim or.something. I'm not a fan of front loading grammar and just look up stuff as I go, but it's a matter of preference.

I can see combined generals as a norm in the future, at least for chuubas with slower moving threads, I can totally see Holo5 having their own combined thread, maybe also Gamers. With EN is almost an impossibility, those threads move too fast and is gonna get worse now with a new gen.

En is an exception with individual members having splits that are self sustaining, yonkisei is the only JP branch whose members' threads are remotely capable of matching that pace at least from my own admittedly short time on this boardexcluding Watame for some odd reason. I'm sure the handful of ID fans will like that their oshi has a relevant thread that isn't instantly bumped off

I'd love a yonkisei thread too but there's not a lot of fanbase overlap and for some reason Towa's thread is by far the fastest so the kenzoku would end up dominating. Also the Coco thread is just a disguised Kson thread now so I'm not sure how they'd fit in

That's the unfortunate reality, I think maybe hemin and kenzokus would have some minor overlap as a big appeal is their singing but Lunaitos have always been in their sphere just like their oshi. I dunno about the kiryu-kai, it's rude to leave them out but it's awkward trying to fit them in as well...
