I want to join Shiki's membership just to watch the membership streams, but her membership (and Iku's as well) is way too overpriced in my opinion. All Tsunderia and Phase-Connect VTubers have one membership level that includes membership streams for only $5. For that price, all I would get on the Shiki's/Iku's channel are emotes, which I wouldn't even use because I don't use the chat

There really shouldn't be any reason to offer additional perks beyond a $5 t1. Best way to do membership in my opinion is $1-2 for emotes, $5 for content, and then anything above that just a tier for anyone who wants to give additional support.

Yeah. I think PRISM is going a little too premium here and will be leaving money on the table. Keep the top tier at 25 for the whales who just want to support but drop the emotes to $1-2 and member streams to $5. With this scheme, I will most likely only be a t3 member for Rita, $5 just for emotes and all the way up to $15 for member streams is too much to member a second agent I think.

Iku's last t2 membership stream had maybe 10 people active max, and only about 6 people were talking 90% of the time.
The last t3 stream had about 20 or so members active for the games.

The pricing tiers is fucking stupid and membership will filter 90% of people because they are only doing a single t2 and a single t3 stream per months. So you are paying $10 for one extra stream, and $35 for two streams.

1) Laziness on part of management to refuse setting up Streamlabs for non-cucked Donos
2) Lack of faith in regard to dono frequency

Naturally the error in thinking here is that fewer members can make up for a lot of lower-tier memberships. Which is naturally BS especially as a channel exceeds 400 concurrent live viewers (which Shiki is I'd say 7 weeks away from) because people eventually start joining because of their fellow fans as much or more than their oshi.

Whereas depressing membership numbers fucking kills membership growth.
Fewer members = Fewer emotes being used = Less of a general assumptiojn that membership is the default thing.
Less members also means lower membership stream turnout = Slower chat = LEss of a feeling of being with a lot of likeminded people = less renewals.
Even Phase has Streamlabs and they're by and large far smaller.

You're right about many indies and Vshojo. I have not watched enough small corpos besides prism to know how any of the others do it. In Hololive only the ID talents are allowed to use StreamLabs (Indos can't superchat), while Niji has StreamLabs set up the same way as PRISM: a little icon shows up on the screen but not the full message. I sort of prefer it this way - I don't like people putting dumb messages on stream and I SUPER don't like TTS readouts of the dumb shit people put in.
