Don't get me wrong, I like her, she's among my top5 EN female VTubers, but that whole strategy games thing really disappointed me.
Rookie mistakes in Starcraft, especially rookie mistakes in what she called her main faction.

I think it's just a case of her overestimating her skills. She's obviously spent the last few years completely obsessed with being a top Apex player. But that kind of obsession and dedication does not necessarily translate into success in other games with vastly different mechanics and suddenly turn you into a god gamer. At the very least, she's semi-competent in every other game she plays and has a willingness to improve, which is more than you can say about most chuubas.

It's not professional aspirations. I'm not aspiring to be a pro either. But, trust me, I've played SC quite a few times. Things like not building any anti-air or not utilizing Defiler/Queen abilities is a mistake you do only once.
She did it more than once. Way more than once.
I can forgive mistaking some units (Zealots for Templars) or meme names (Caterpillars for Reavers or Crabs for Guardians), but basic strategy is nowhere to find.
I really would like to see her in multiplayer, though. She'd have an opportunity to face her korean nijimates. Not to mention that scripted campaign is nowhere near the true RTS experience.
Ooooor just wait for different RTS games, as I'm not a big fan of Starcraft either.

She's also constantly reading and responding to chat.
If you watch her mouse movements you can tell she posses a decent amount of gaming skill. If you watch someone like Pomu or Rushia play they would be struggling to even navigate between bases.
Her main issue is her decision making is poor but that's pretty understandable when over half of her focus is on making an entertaining stream and not actually playing the game.
Also I think you guys overestimate how easy it is to backseat in RTS games are.
People constantly think "Why aren't you doing B? B is way better than A" and tunnel in on it and assume they are better when in reality the person they are backseating are trying to juggle 10 other things many of which the backseater does worse than the streamer. Heck even high level streamers are constantly being backseated by shit players thats just how the genre works.

Strategy wasn't even that important, her macro was. Look, when I saw her mouse move rather than hot key A move I knew where to set my expectations to. All she said was that she saw her dad play this, and years later got to play it as a hand me down as a kid with a list of cheat codes he gave to her. She just enjoyed the general Zerg aesthetic with zerglings.

The only game she will be decent or good at is Apex because she played that the most since experience accounts for most of skill in video games.
