I watched some footage and it didn't seem the remaster didn't seem that different than if you were using a modern engine.
If you used to play Quake in software mode at 640x320, then yeah sure it's an upgrade. Otherwise no.
The only good thing that comes out of the remaster is that it gets the game on people's radars again, so hopefully a holo plays it at some point. It's one of my favorite games of all time.
