People use that to deduct points from streamers they dislike. Selene playing Apex, or Gura doing Karaoke. Buff for both, but they both should actually count as numbers regardless.

It’s weird because you can also use a debuff game to justify low numbers for a streamer you like. Meaning it’s an endless loop of justifications. This is why “big number > small number” is important.

Nice goalpost moving.

How about you pick a stream where her game audio worked and she didn't close the stream after 2 games? She didn't even title this stream properly (it was titled "Ame stream") and didn't lose viewers alternating between Apex and Minecraft.

Hard to tell if Selen-schizos are just overzealous these days or if your idiots are falseflagging.

I hate Ame, but it’s like this:
1. Ame has more subs. Fact.
2. Ame has more live viewers. Fact.
3. Ame is currently more popular by this example. Fact.
That’s all that matters in this thread. If you think she will one day outperform Ame, sure possibly, but it’s not right now. “Dead subs” is meaningless because it doesn’t tell us a thing about “live subs.”

The only thing I see is that for Nijiniggers having more subs is bad, so they have to say that all the time to make Holos look bad,

>So having low subs is better because you can justify any number
Just remove all justifications by using “big number > small number”. Why? Because by default ALL new VTubers have fewer dead subs, while we know that doesn’t make all of them better than Pekora for example. A streamer with 200 subs that pulls 100 live viewers is not as popular as a streamer with 10k subs that pulls 1k live viewers. Niji EN is new and by default new streamers have fewer dead subs, but that isn’t an accomplishment of them. So again, “Dead subs” is meaningless because it doesn’t tell us a thing about “live subs.”
>>8100930
>Maybe if EN2 really takes away a lot of Ame's viewership
It’s possible. I think the market will grow, but ultimately the better EN will rise to the top, and that may mean some will likely drop a bit. That’s good though, competition allows for better streamers.

>> No.8105573

Wtf? The whole buff and debuff thing is because audiences have games that they are naturally drawn to and repelled by. There's literally no streamer that can pull the same number of viewers no matter what game they play. Even twitch streamers like xQc and JP numberchads like Jun see their numbers flucuate depending on the game/content.

>Even if one decides to play a very unpopular game, it’s still their decision, and ultimately a rate of their own success or failure.
That's fair, and many chuubas know which games do well. They just don't care about numbers.

>They SHOULD be graded or judged by it, not excused for it IMO.
So are we just going to go through the "X is declining, X is inclining" dance every time someone decides to play something long and debuff like Yakuza 7 and then spam Minecraft for a month? When in reality, literally nothing changed for that vtuber? That's retarded.

>It all comes back to “big number > small number”, where everything else is endless justifications.
Numbers are pointless without context. "Big numbers > small number" is a fucking meme for making fun of braindead tribalfags who cannot comprehend more than the most obvious and basic number in front of them.

I’m not saying their are. I’m saying that ultimately they bare the responsibilities of their choices.
>So are we just going to go through the "X is declining, X is inclining"
Only insomuch as their numbers actually go down or up. As long as it’s factual. But it’s not that meaningful.
>Numbers are pointless without context
The context is that they’re VTuber numbers. That’s about it. If one decided to play an intentionally unpopular game, they are still responsible for the outcome of that. Making constant excuses is a waste of time.

That’s wrong. Currently Gen 2 are growing faster than Gen 1 because Gen 1 increased the growth of Gen 2 by being so successful in the West. Gen 2 only needs good VTubers to capitalize on the amount of viewers watching because of the success of Gen 1. So another Gura really comes down to another VTuber that many people really, really like. If another Gura doesn’t happen, I feel they only have themselves to blame.

You’re confusing Cover with a few idiots here. What I mean is that Cover doesn’t think cunny is ultimately why Gura was successful, and they do want another Gura too. They are more likely thinking over how Gura was popular before they grabbed her. That’s likely what they’re looking for here.

If someone came into Gen 2 and became significantly bigger than Gura, pulling in many new people, that ultimately raises Gura as well. People forget that Hololive is a network. I say this because it’s funny how some talk about a “Gura killer” within Hololive EN, without understanding that such would actually increase the growth of Gura as well.

Gura was the most surefire pick akin to drafting Lebron with the 1st overall draft pick. Ame had experience as a vtuber on twitch and is like a 2nd rounder that turned into an all-star, Kiara was an ex-idol and is pretty much the Kwamey Brown of the group, and Ina is a well-known artist that seemingly got drafted too high but turned out to be another all star. I feel like they’re doing it with rat-girl as well, while her current success is undoubtedly built off of the success of Gen 1. What we really need to see, is if she can be successful on her own many weeks from now. But that concept doesn't seem to be understood outside of this number thread, which is why there are threads that are too early labeled “Gura killer”, which also happened with Petra.
