I've been thinking about this and outside the management autism caused by various yabs, it's because Nijisanji as a whole just isn't something that is on HoloMyth's radar much since Hololive itself is its own huge thing with its own culture just like Nijisanji so HoloMyth just hasn't had much time to come into Nijisanji much until LazuLight debuted in May 2021, and by then HoloMyth was too entrenched with their own stuff to give them much thought. I don't mean this in a bad way.

Then you have the Coco Graduation arc, which results in them focusing even more on Hololive themselves again and then IRyS debuting in July and now this month with HoloCouncil. In short shit got busy on HoloMyth's part. And they still have their own anniversary next month, if they have anything planned.

And for HoloMyth, you have some members who are just focused more on collabing within Hololive than outside. Which I don't see as a bad thing and just more of a nature of things

Nobody asked, but I'll chime in as a long-time Botan viewer. Once again they do seem similar, with the strong "I don't give a fuck" front while actually overthinking stuff behind the scenes and trying to carry everyone's weight.
The difference here would be that Botan has an unspecified amount of years of experience in dealing with all kinds of worries on her and a very loving if retarded at times group of friends around her for moral support(which actually cemented because Botan carried them all through hard times before). The experience will come from sticking with it and carrying on, and Selen seems to be a somewhat smart girl too so she should learn fast, but for the support group I don't really know, I have no idea if any of the girls in NijiEN can get the weird idea to support the strong girl or whether they actually can do it.
On the matter of Apex, I'd say "fucking drop it" since it worked out for Botan, but I've seen Selen talk how much she wants to collab with Bora, and good collabs and senpais who know how to deal with your worries is something that would definitely help her. So, whichever side outweighs the other for her is what she should stick with, but all in all you REALLY want to be a variety streamer and not apex one.
Outside of that, she just has to stick with it, and she will pick up the right skills and develop the right mentality for it sooner rather than later. That is, if she is fit to be a streamer, otherwise she will realize that it doesn't work out and move on to something else, which is also ok, Botan for one changed direction of her entire life several times before arriving to her dream retirement job.
I hope she pulls through and will really come into her own as a streamer, when she'll get a second cat I'll give her another shot, right now I just tune in sometimes if the game is good. Also, when a strong girl shows her weak side it really hits different, so my condolences for her viewers as they won't get away from her anytime soon after seeing her like that.

The thing with Selen is she loves Apex. She just doesn't want to be seen as a super competitive person. Her past life got leaked everywhere and she had to admit she was a former pred but she downplays it a lot, yet everyone, even JP Nijis, are praising her skill which puts pressure on her which is one of the reasons she had that vent stream.
