Take it with a grain of salt.
I literally did all the numbers 2 days ago and Kuzuha appears with 23 extra hours streamed in this site's image compared to what i could find. (166 instead of 143)
Pekora's Twitch numbers weren't taken into account either.

>>7710897
The fact the two are even compared is exactly why "hours watched" is a silly matched. They both are the ABSOLUTELY best at what they do, but they most definitely do not do the same thing.

Pekora is unironically a "comedian", in the standup comedy sense. She schedules a show, prepare herself for it, deliver it in the time span she allocated for it with MASSIVE success and bow out.
Kuzuha seems to be an entertainer: he found something he really really REALLY likes to do on stream and does it for an extended period of time while at the same time keeping the audience entertained with MASSIVE retention.

Comparing "hours watched" does a disservice for both because it allows some retard to spam 11 hours per day every day no rest day including dead hours for eating and bathing on stream and to be in the same "hours watched" ranking with them.

Compared to the music industry the whole vtuber industry (including the combined forces for Hololive and Nijisanji) could fit in the janitor's broom closet.

>How was the reaction to it online in japan?
Hit #1 in trending on twitter, but surprisingly little screenshot spam and simping from holomems. Probably because Aqua isn't as close with the usual screenshot spammers like Kanata.

>I was expecting slightly higher numbers for aqua.
I think many were, but her lack of consistent streams recently + 80% of the concert being practically the same as her sololive might have hurt her peak. Still, 84k for essentially a sololive is very good and not many holomems can reach it.

>> No.7714736

>>7714666
Yes
Simply by streaming at the right time, they will attract that audience. Kuzuha has it but they are drowned out by the regular viewerbase.

This is one of the reasons why Roa and Ars got so popular with eops - their minecraft streams were always at opportune times for the west.

>> No.7714895

>>7714736
To pander to EOPs you have to be clipped in English. The Chronoir clippers are clipping Axia and Lauren now but their viewbase is not enough to make a dent in their JOP audience. Their content isn't EOP friendly. Roa and Ars can get away with being cute and making cute noises that can be enjoyed by anyone. The draw of Kuzuha and Lauren is their talking. Lots of EOP fans of the males are clip only due to this.
There's also the fact that the EOP fanbase for males is majority women and they show up to things like Pokemon, not 20 hrs of Apex.

>> No.7715049

>>7714895
tbf Apex is an easy game to follow if you know what's going on and it's easy enough for EOPs to watch Kuzuha yell "Yosha!" when he wins and exasperate when he loses. Her design is great. Solo streams have no dead air, and she does a decent Miyuki Sawashiro impression that pops up a lot.
In one on one collabs, there's a lot of banter. I'd say her main weakness is in larger collabs where she doesn't contribute as much. Also she has the major disadvantage of mainly playing Valorant and Apex, but not being particularly good at them.

She's doing well by VSpo standards, considering it has only been a few months since debut. But I can't help but think she would be better off in Niji or Hololive. She has the stream patter down, and a more universal appeal that many of the other VSpo girls just don't (see: Mimi - constant dead air. No wonder she is underperforming).

>> No.7715551

>>7715049
Thst's true in some cases but doesn't change the fact that majority women are clipping them and none of it is Apex gameplay, just banter or teetee. I'd say EOPs would show up more to a Kuzuha horror stream than his Apex spam.

Her design is actually easy to fix. A face resize, lighter color with also updating her mouth so that it won't too much will fix all of her problems. You don't even have to remove the nose. A 2D casual costume would probably put her hair on a pony tail. I just think the MV should be common sense since it's her music that should be the focus of her channel.

I mean, if the artist made it sorta like guilty crown's aesthetic, then it'll probably be fine. It's the nose and the round face that's a turn off. If they made EN2's model the same as t IRyS, then it's certain that Cover doesn't really know shit about the EN audience or why EN 1 was successful the first time. Hype draws a lot of people. For one thing I think the Holo Covers should have been done after the ban. Imagine Irys streaming a karaoke collab first with the Holo and then redirecting them to the cover with a premiere. Really depends on your definition of "good".
Which to be fair for isn't really easy to define for EN audiences. Mori, Kiara and Gura make massive amounts but Mori/Kiara have cultivated their fanbase towards that while Gura has pure NUMBERS to push her. While Ame and Ina actively try to avoid getting superchats.
Like for example I can't remember the last time Kiara was below 1k for stream that wasn't a collab or 1hour sponsorship.

Hal is buffed at the moment. Usually he gets <20k in his Apex streams. Kuzuha gets <30k for his Apex streams. It's more that they benefit having guest interactions like Coco's meme reviews. Once in a blue moon Apex rabbit gets the same numbers as him in his buffed state. The idea of Apex being entertaining in a sense is better than watching a skilled gamer playing it. Gura and Amelia's SC are not that much to brag about because they don't stream consistently and don't even have it on all the time. The only person you can compare her is Kiara. Kiara spends atleast 10x more time on stream than Irys reading SCs alone. The only time Irys actually dedicate a time for reading SCs alone she got $2.5k. Only Mori is a good indicator of getting big SCs no matter what

>Only Mori is a good indicator of getting big SCs no matter what
Mori's SC numbers are pretty heavily dependent on the sort of stream she's doing, you can see her numbers slip on weeks where she focuses on games/collabs and skyrocket in weeks with zatsudans/ASMR/etc (like this past one where she made like 18k).

Gura is at rank 24 of alltime SC.
>Kiara
The way she reads SC, which is basically a zatsudan occassionaly interrupted by thanking superchats is part of her appeal.
It's basically the same as Mori who gets' the majority of her SC during Zatsudan streams.
Also both Mori and Kiara only do dedicated SC reading streams once they've fallen behind by a too much
Also if anything I'd call Kiara by far more consistent than Mori who has extreme peaks but also get <1k for game streams at times.

The now infamous dad-posting was reinforced and the appearance of the Sheriff popped off from that game, and Gura being a corrupt powerhungry Samegaki was showcased.

Gotta say that, with all this "most watched hours" talk, Hal may be pulling an "outside run" with all of his giant streams.
He's a good lad too and deserve everything good that comes to him.

Just checked and Playboard has both Okayu and Mio streams, Holostats missed them. Checked my Youtube push notifications and none of those two were there.
It may not be Holostats failing to pick them up but Youtube failing to send the respective pushes (be it through the API or through the phone)

Nah, I don't believe that estimate to be true. It probably counts on both platforms, YT and Twitch. Plus, her gimmick wouldn't last that long unlike a chuuba. With playboard, at least you can see how much they're making per stream minus the cuts.

>Performers should get proper compensation
They DO get proper compensation.
Considering
>you can book a whore for 200 bucks to suck your dick for a hour in the most expensive countries in the world
>you can book an "actress" to be in front o f a camera and pretend she is sucking your dick in a mainstream movie (for a throwaway scene like those in "Eyes Wide Shut") for 1000 bucks, total, tops, also even in the most expensive countries in the world

Why would paying for a whore to suck your dick for real in front of a camera be more expensive than either of these activities?
That is true specially considering there is no skill involved that would prevent a hundred thousand equally attractive whore to do the same activity.

There is a reason a plumber makes more than a porn "actress": there is fewer people skilled in his trade to push the wages down.
