Single character tribalniggers are the death of a board. They'll keep filling the catalogue with their oshi even if there's nothing worth talking about. They're basically reddit colonies on any board that loves faster than /m/.

If I had my way, given that chubas are a dime a dozen now, all company chubas would be restricted to generation based generals. If you want to sperg out over one character then go make a fan Reddit. Waifu generals are ruining vt for everyone who's not an eceleb worshipper.

Quoting a guy in another thread on the costs of hiring a clipper

>How much do you think that vid cost
It depends. If they used inhouse staff it costed "only" their time, as their cost is already sunk in the monthly cost.
I put only in quotes because that's exactly what makes Japan to have such a shitty workplace ethics, people are expected to do their own jobs and then overtime doing what would be other people jobs.

Now, if they would hire a full time english translator in japan it would set them back north of 70k/year (assuming Japan is like every other civilized country where the state taxes the employer more money the employee takes home).
That would cover only translating a transcript provided by the editor. Someone would still have to watch through all of the talent videos of that period, select the best parts, edit and transcribe.
A person doing that full time would not be less expensive than the translator so add another 70k to the expense.

All in all that would mean an expense of 140k dollars/year on staff alone, not counting the "materials" (in this case hardware, software licenses), for one pair of people.

That would mean that ad revenue on the translated videos would have to be around 11k / month to break even.
Cover and Anycolor would both benefit massively from having every stream VOD translated, and from creating their own clips for most talents.

The thing is
>the community does it for free
>they also do it much better because they do it for their oshi (for the most part)

That last point is important because what the fans know about their oshis (both the person and the body of work, the inside jokes and the memes) are sometimes more than even the current manager assigned to them.

Anyway, about numbers, I assume at very least 11k dollars per month on ads to break even on hiring one editor and one translator, meaning having to get at very min (assuming 0.5CPM and perfect ad watching by the audience) 22M views per month, every month
