So going by net, avg profit per talent is around 300k dollars? If assumed that Cover takes 50%, each talent makes 150k a year if spread evenly (before taxes and other expenses). But I could be completely wrong since I dont know these things really work.

there are merchs that the girls got pretty big cut for (anniversary, birthday, etc). It can counts for as much as 2-3 months of constant streaming for them.

however, Cover start putting out the more standardized merch like Hololive friends with u plushie, official standees, etc. That's the part where they probably get little cut from.

Who lied to you? They get 50% of the merch revenue. They get a cut even of merch that is sold part of events, like Gura's thing in Taiwan for example. Also, the cut of SC is 70% the streamer, 30% Cover, after the YT cut.
Do you really think that members such as Gura would go on months-long breaks, if they didn't get paid for merch and sponsorships?
Moreover, just few days ago, Suisei turned off Superchats and said that she is making enough money out of merch, so she doesn't need it.
