I've just assumed that she really did quit at that time, but VShojo didn't want to take the PR hit of losing her so quickly after losing Vei/Nyan/Silver so they convinced her to delay it. During those last 6 months she ramped up her time on Mikeneko considerably and turned Nazuna into basically an Apex-only streaming channel so she'd pretty much already checked out.
