Match-Made was originally planned to be more shitpost-y and far shorter due to the nature of the prompt. I then got a bit carried away and it got more dramatic, so it turned into that sorta hybrid, not-one-and-not-the-other, it ended up as.
I briefly mentioned it back then, but I never thought Suisei would actually have people rooting for her, for me it was always supposed to be "just" a Koyori fic.
Suisei was supposed to be a throwaway character to get the plot going. I realize that was really dumb and kind of lazy on my part, considering Suisei IS a well liked, established character by the nature of it being a fanfiction on its own. I'm even fond of her myself. Actually wrote the original prompt for "your sister Suisei catches you lusting after maid Aqua and decides to seduce you by dressing up as her to keep the bloodline clean" - still hope someone picks that up. So... my bad on that.
Besides that, I'm quite aware that my endings often seem... lacking. Ironically, I hate rom fics that end immediately after the "resolve", when the characters get together. Mine almost always do just that. Well, except Match-Made... and that attempt seemed rather polarising.
I also love rom fics that end in steamy, loving smut. Mine almost never do.
I just... don't know what to write? And my smut always feels a bit... vanilla and boring. I only ever tried with Petting your Fox, but it just seemed to lack the raw sexual energy of "foxfriend and overly nice boyfriend" for example.
Don't quite know how to tackle these problems... and it's been keeping me from getting a otherwise like 90% finished piece out for a while now.

Maybe I just really like 'lively' smut instead of raw Ponos in Vagoo, but those quips of back and forth that feel like an extension of the characters presented in the story is infinitely hotter to me than vivid smut descriptions. That's what made Petting your Fox so good.
Sure, stretching out the scenes where Anon fucked Fubuki's Foxhole filling her to the brim would've been great, but it wasn't the strong point of the smut, it was how you made the characters feel like themselves while having sex.

As for the thing about romance resolving after the characters get together, it's something I'm guilty of as well, but there is a fix.
Either the characters have to face new problems that they solve through their relationship, or they get some time to just enjoy their relationship.
Something like 'you can rely on me, you cute, hardworking wife/husband!' or 'I don't care what happens, we'll pull through'

I thoroughly loved Match-made besides the Suisei subplot, and I think you're doubting yourself in your ability to write smut.

I will also advice you to seek help from beta readers. Even I was reluctant at first because of my pride and whatnot, but seriously, sometimes you're doing things right without realizing, sometimes you're doing them wrong without realizing. I'm sure many of them would be thrilled to get a peek at your works.

For example, imagine Koyori was doing some research about fertility pills or something, the breakthrough of the century on curing erectile dysfunction. Day and night she spends it in her lab while you bring her coffee, blankets, and take over for her when you can.
The day of her presentation, she's sweating bullets, and then she realizes she fucked up and missed a crucial part of the experiment just as she asked if there were any questions. One hands lifts almost immediately, it's yours, and you ask her just what she forgot to say, and she salvages the entire experiment
Then, as soon as you're in the car, she rides you so hard the suspension snaps
Overall it can be just showing that the characters have grown to depend on each other, to care for each other, and that even now that their honeymoon phase is over, there's no one else they'd spend their time with.
This could be the same about enjoying their relationship. The time skip was cute, and seeing your children play around was adorable. Me personally, I would've capped it off with something like, after the children are asleep, Koyori drags you to the bedroom, and then she pulls out a chocolate so you too can eat without being bothered by your little human-coyote gremlins. Things that show they're still in love.

In all honesty, imagine yourself just doing your job and then finding out your coworker is elaborating on how strong your arms are, how much she wants you to carry her to bed and how weak she would feel in her legs after the act on some private Tumblr account. It would feel fucking weird but but give you a huge ego boost at the minimum. It might scare you off from ever exposing your body. I'll try to build up on all your feedback for the next piece and hopefully hit the sweet spot between Match-Made and Kintsugi. Funnily enough, I did have a little epilogue planned for Kintsugi, which I never got around to write. That's another problem of mine that probably skews the readers view on my stories:
