Lumi would go into the dms of each of the Cyberlive girls and encourage them to "beat" their peers. She talked shit about Yuri, Pandora, and Seina to Hylo in the early days, then shit talked Hylo to Yuri. Then she leaked the private discord where talents expressed their grievances with the company lying to them and stealing fans' money, and got everyone in trouble. She sucked the dick of Misaki, while Misaki treated everyone terribly. She shit talked gen 2 to Misaki, traded secrets about the talents, orchestrated Hylo's termination that didn't go through because Hylo chose to graduate instead. She shit talked sweet Seina for no reason, became manager and instantly started pushing for her new outfit, while being on calls with Misaki, who gave Lumi her full attention and then both of them ghosting the other talents. She maintained a doxxer mod, who she shared private info of the talents with. She doxxed Hylo here, and Misaki caught the blame for it. Lumi shit talked talents on the Cyberlive thread and admitted doing so to the members she was manipulating. She threw everyone, even Misaki under the bus when Phase Connect reached out to her twice asking to poach her, first being through Pippa, second time being through Sakana. She convinced Yuri to tag along with her and ditched the company when she knew leaving would bring an end to the company because management literally told her what was at stake. Everyone begged them in a group chat not to do it and then they dropped a graduation announcement on twitter WITHOUT discussing it with management or the talents. Lumi calls chapipi a saint but chapipi hates her just as much as everyone else from Cyberlive does, but Lumi clings to her non-involvement in the discord leak as some sort of proof that she's not a bad person. Chapipi's new vtuber account follows all of Cyberlive including Yuri's new account, but excludes Lumi as expected. You guys are foolish if you believe Lumi is the good guy.

In the early days, those companies didn't really know how to monetize vtubing. Even Cover didn't know for sure, if Hololive could ever be monetized and generate profit. At the same time the costs of starting and running them where really high. So most of the early corpo's ended up failing. It didn't help that the lack of revenue, made lot's of the early vtuber basically working as volunteers, all while still having to deal with schizo East Asian management and crap corpo culture, which led to mass graduations and conflicts, or the companies shooting themselves in the foot (like how Up8 or whatever did when they tried to replace Kizuna's voice actress).
Hololive was helped by the fact that Cover was ready to take risks and grind their way to success while having a decent human being as a CEO. Meanwhile Nijisanji was helped by the fact that Riku was from a rich family with connections, so he wasn't desperate for immediate profits, so Anycolor took their time building something distinct.
