What's the Virtual YouTubers demographic?
I'd guess 80% male.
Asking for a friend.

Depends on the vtuber.
Pekora has like a 93% male audience demographic

gura is a based

What percentage of shitposts are typed by SEA hands?
I'd guess 100%.

>I'd guess 80% male.
That's a very generous estimate of female viewers. It's more like 97% male across the board and most of the female viewers are the obsessed fanartists like Mamaloni.

I get the picture. Thanks.

99% male. When chuubas list their female viewers it's most likely western troons who put down "female" on their youtube profile.
Irronically the perverted fujoshi's like Marine are the most popular with real Japanese females.

How is that ironic? Girls will watch a girl that's similar to them, like how Gibara nearly had a 50:50 girl to boy ratio.

Depends. Overall, 80% Male might not be too far off. HoloJP is basically 95% Male, but EN might be slightly lower due to Gura's casual viewers. Niji seems to be around 70/30. Indie audiences are probably >90% Male too.

Not all of holoJP has that many male %. Flare and Suisei are known to have higher female % than most of hololive

>Niji
Niji is 80% male

Niji has been pulling in more female audiences lately. "70% male fanbase" was a meme among Kanae fans but he says it's more like 60 now.

I started wondering the same thing a few weeks ago but haven't taken the time to do any research yet into individual VTuber stats. I'm also planning to get a survey out before the end of the year for English speaking fans, but I need to consider how I'll get a high response rate. Would probably try and get a good spread out to 4chan and other sites like Twitter or Reddit because I want to avoid bias. Not sure how to promote a survey without being ignored in those areas though.

Surveys can be well-received on Reddit; you might even be able to get a mod to sticky one if you ask and get lucky. Just avoid mentioning 4chan during the data collection part.

Well yeah, I was thinking of doing them separately, so I can merge the data and get a picture of the overall, but also look at comparisons between communities.

english fandom is probably 90% male, jp fandom depends on the company but probably 90% male for hololive and 60% male for nijisanji.
