Biggest one is just the hololive fanbase as a whole who would rather watch girls.
Second is that them not being a thing alongside myth was a massive debuff toward building an audience. By the time they actually became a thing, it was too late because most fans would rather stick to what they know rather than go to someone new. Third is their recent japan arc where everyone wasn't streaming aside from Altare. In short, Idolshit is a huge debuff and has always been a debuff and the same goes for inconsistency in stream schedule. We have Irys and REGLOSS as surefire proof that idolshit is radioactive in general.
Four is shared by EN as a whole in that they're not really gamers. The closest would probably be fuwamoco and goldbullet since they did retro, but that's about it. As a result, their engagement is pitifully low in a scene where engagement is the most important.
