I don't know what your experience is with this but if it will take a long time for your condition to improve then a hobby or something to prevent you from constantly thinking about it and falling into a depressive spiral could help. I'm not the best practitioner of my preaching but it has been a boon to others in the same situation.

Her line of thinking isn't about using it as a primary means of supporting her, she is more or less thinking that since she is focusing on the podcast as #1 and she feels like she can't provide a "full membership experience" for the people based on her expectations on what we want, she feels like she can't make it more expensive because of that. I think that's a YouTube bug, I remember when Krisis first opened memberships there was an issue like that too and for the first few days nobody could actually receive a gifted membership, though I don't remember if they were refunded later or if they simply were all assigned with a massive delay.
