Coco’s throws are too strong. I swear I haven’t managed to break a single one all day off the computer. They do so much for so little as well.

I haven’t felt this way since tigger. The game has the Christopher Robin curse where the finale boss is easier than the one before it, despite having access to its moveset. CR is easier than Tigger by virtue of just not being tigger all the
time. Error:Sora is easier than coco because she uses moves other than cocos too.

So in platform fighters there are two different types of hitboxes (in a very oversimplified sense), hitboxes and grabboxes. In general, hitboxes outprioritize grabboxes. So if your grabbox collides with another player at the same time as their hitbox collides with yours, you take the hit and the grab doesn’t happen. In general at least, there are exceptions based on game, like in melee where the grab always connects though the damage gets taken.
In this game though, hitboxes will always overpower a grab and interrupt the grab. But the way I had it, it was different by port priority. If P2 grabbed P1 on the same frame she got hit, she’d take the hit and the grab wouldn’t happen. But if it was the other way, the grab would connect and then on the same frame the hitbox would as well and they’d be knocked out of it. This happened because P1 would run hit/grab collision first, detect she was getting grabbed, and then P2 would run it and get hit by the hitbox, triggering release.
The solution here was to further separate the orchestration and have a separate collision event for grab boxes. So every player would run her hitbox collision event, and if she didn’t get hit, she would run grabbox collision after everyone else ran their hit collision. (P1234 hitcollision -> P1234 grabcollision)
The unintentional effect is that if a hit and grab collide on the same player on the same frame, the grab will fail. But that’s fine. Generally she’d get knocked out of the grab anyway.

Yeah. The game couldn’t progress. The AI picked up a free life from my snacks and it broke the game logic when they died. Gotta lab Bryan's b3 low so you can consistently block and punish, it's 19 frames and they all love to do it. Only -13 on block though so you can't launch and when you did block it you used a 14f move after. Looks like game recommended wr2,1+2.
For the Feng match, you need more stage awareness and to sidestep and sidewalk more. The first round you keep your back against the wall and ate another wall combo before the throw. The second round you see the Feng maneuvering at the 40 second mark to get you against the wall again, his gameplay doesn't make me think that's all intentional on his part but it's something you should be trying to do more yourself and stopping your opponents from doing. The run up heat smash vs. his heat activation also didn't work the second time you tried it, gotta keep in mind if they still haven't used their heat.
Lab Jin's df4, similar issue with Bryan's low but worse for you if you don't learn to block it.

Basically it’s a logic for chunking up the stage surface to allow for stage surface effects
The one I’ve been testing is splattered watson concoction, which does nothing right now but will when watson is introduced

I STILL havent started "the great combo", this time because I discovered the "introductory" combo ends on a meaty setup which I havent practiced , specifically, this one.

I think there is a bit of peace in discovering how much I do not know about this game still. The worst part is not knowing what to do to get better at the game.
"Winning" or "being "gud" is such an abstract goal that can only end in demotivation, meanwhile something like "being able to pull perfectly timed meaty setups" is not only something very concrete but someone you can track your improvements on very clearly
