The thing about ID is that while their numbers are low, they at least have fairly deep penetration into the local market so they have local collaborations and a good support base.

KR doesn't even have the local market, they exist almost entirely off the goodwill and charity of the JP fanbase and the handful of koreans that they manage to snag. They are basically treading water and would honestly be better served by folding them all into the main branch or to other branches where they'd fit.

How many live viewers does a VTuber need for it to be considered ‘good’ for a number thread? I was thinking 15k and up. For example, people obviously don’t give much consideration to 8k, because there are so many others who will surpass that. It doesn’t become noticeable.

Bit of a dumb question but I've been curious about this for awhile, I have noticed that while Mel receives a lesser amount of viewers compared to others when collabing, she actually does fairly well when it comes to comparing likes on the video. This presents two potential possibilities and I am not sure which is true:

Option A) Due to a continued shadow ban of sorts, Mel's live viewers are under-counted and her likes are a more accurate indicator of her audience.

Option B) Given Mel's history, even casual fans want to provide her support so they jump into her stream briefly to leave a like and then depart. Thus her likes on her streams are exaggerated and her live viewer is more indicative of her audience.

It really depends on what they're doing.
As far as I can tell, they generally don't get this high without collabs. But a significant amount of their streams are collabs with bigger, male, non-vtuber streamers (often on twitch or mildom).
And for whatever reason, they often don't stream their perspective, so everyone gets funnelled to the VSpo tuber.

Take Beni's valorant stream from a couple of days ago. Collab with darumaisgod, playboard says it peaked at 3296 viewers. Solo minecraft, 1600 peak.

Qpi solo apex, 331 peak. Collab peaks at 1741.
