It uses a point system rather than actually tracking useful metrics. Every viewer contributes a different number of points based on the kind of activity on their account (and how much they pay). So their metrics don't track how many eyes are on your stream, but how much you are 'worth' to the platform in its own arbitrary terms. It can't really be compared to CCV because it's wholly different and basically a complete black box.

Their system exists primarily to combat various ways that users would try to game the system, like botting or having masses of accounts paid to 'watch' for a metric boost.

Thats kinda interesting, any idea how exactly they decide that? It doesn’t have much value as a definitive view metric, but it could still have a value depending on whats important to them. If you’re considered more important if you pay more to the platform through things like superchats or have a larger amount of watch hours, that could still could be used to measure success to some extent even if it doesn’t do so through accurate view metrics, not necessarily saying this is the best way of going about it but it could be interesting
