Adding on to this, VeXpo appears to be a brand new non-profit convention in Birmingham attempting to fill the void of VTuber-focused conventions. Looking at the guest list, the convention has already secured a number of chuubas from multiple walks of VTubing, including Phase Connect, EIEN Project, V-Dere, and indies. Expect more guests to be announced as the convention date gets closer

The market has closed for the day.
Anycolor finishes at 2385¥ (-42, -1.73%), despite having a major surge after lunch where it was briefly positive before going back down. Anycolor has now closed below 2400¥ for the first since early March of last year.
Cover Corp also experienced a similar trajectory, as it closed at 2241¥ (-21¥, -0.93%). The gap between the two is now less than 150¥.
This is also a reminder that next month, Cover Corp will have their financial reports for Q4 (Jan-March 2024) and the overall year. So don't expect them the two companies to intersect until that time. That's all for now, see you in 18 hours.

Cover acquiring AnyColor might very well go the same way that Boeing eating McDonald Douglas did. At the time, Boeing was a well respected company and it was Douglas that had all the corruption and quality control problems, as they cut every corner they could. Other than these nine and the new releases, no other vtuber release sold a single copy in the little under two months between this chart and it's previous iteration. Some of the new releases sell well: ChroNoiR outsold their previous album by half and Mizutamari is the most successful single Hololive has ever released. Kuzuha might have hopes of knocking anime-boosted KAF off the most sold single throne in few months if Black Crack continues to have a tail this decent. Watame's Hop Step Sheep also has a respectable tail, but really Suisei stands out here with both of her solo albums being over a year old and still selling over a thousand copies. In fact, they are the only ones over six months old on this list, although ROF-MAO and Towa especially are getting close to that cut-off point.

What's always funny to me is that Cover corp stocks literally don't matter to Cover. Three things that stuck with me from investors meeting were

I painstakingly verify every story put in the round-up, and I have multiple sources corroborating that everything posted is accurate to the best of my ability. It is possible for me to make an error in the details (which I'm always happy to correct), but I will never include a story I cannot verify, even if it is logically sound and consistent. This is a big reason why a lot of JP news gets passed over: I don't know Japanese, so I can't verify enough details to feel comfortable including it in the round-up.

I have multiple sources confirming that at least one of the discord leaks is real beyond a reasonable doubt, and that leak is what was reported on in the round-up.

but one of them hardshills herself in /vrt/ as self declared best friend of another chuuba that gets posted there and i still remember how odd it was that once when she had more viewers than that one someone immeaditly went "look how she is mogging him now" which was uncharacteristic considering no one cares for her there.
and another case is how in /choc/ weirdly enough all chuubas are praised and welcomed but other loli vtubers always get attacked by someone while another chuuba shared there is also from /wasp/ and also a loli that weirdly never gets attacked.
