So funny story: a few years ago the virtual youtube reddit got hijacked by hololivers so vtubers realized the only way to have their questions not drowned by the corpo upboats was to come to the chans.
This created a funny situation were most viewers were in reddit but the vtubers were in the chans. This situation mantained itself until the malepocalysis: redditors realized they couldnt shit on the homostarts on reddit without getting deleted, hugbox are only good until its your time to complain.
So, they came here about... two years ago?
This was the great reddit invasion of vt.

Children from reddit suffer from a particular misconception: you can be an asshole in 4chan, but you dont have to be an asshole. However because they want to fit in, they act like assholes so they arent called out as redditors, which is why the reddit invasion also brought in a bunch schizos as never seen before.

The only active vtuber subreddit is the Hololive one. r/virtualyoutubers is a ghost town that's mainly used for indies to advertise themselves. So this is basically the only real place on the internet you can discuss anything that isn't Hololive. It probably helps that reddit's design makes it genuinely awful for actually discussing anything so it makes sense that people who just want to talk instead of screaming over each other would come here.
