The first time I ever saw a VR fan meet and greet happening was way back with Game Club Project and it was a lower budget looking thing, but looked fun to see the talents directly in 3d VR and talk with them and pose for screenshots with their 3d models. 2.5D speficially refers to stuff like IM@S, Love Live, Bandori, you get the picture. Both the characters and the seiyuus do activites, but they're considered "seperate". You can enjoy one side and never delve into the other. I have fictional oshis who I have never watched their respective seiyuu's content, and vice versa. A good example of this right now is Love Live's Hasunosora group. AR/Hologram lives are getting more popular so your immersion wont be broken when you go to concerts too.
