I literally cannot find a 3Dio microphone for sale. Is there another decent option? I regularly use the Samson Q2U for streaming, and I have the Blue Snowball Ice which is apparently good for that sort of thing, but I'm not really a fan of using it because it has no XLR cable and I already have a GoXLR set up.
Also, I'm just not really a fan of ASMR in general so it's hard for me to get into it (I watched/listened to some to generally get the idea but it's not really for me). I had an interesting "themed" ASMR idea I got after looking for some gaming-related ASMR videos, but it fell through in the end even though I set up a ton of redeems and overlays for it.
It also kinda feels like it might alienate my current audience if I'm not careful. I aim to make content that's fun for both men and women to watch in the same way I liked watching Holostars (during the Magni & Vesper era). People say I fujo-bait but I don't see it that way. I don't wanna tip the scales too much in one direction so I want to make ASMR that is at least amusing or funny for dudes like me to listen to.

How do you actually screen for mods? I've seen the following, and not just from indies but corpos vtubers, but corpo vtubers having to recruit their own mods is a whole other rabbit hole.

You kinda have to arrange a rule set with the mods. I used to mod for an indie and I was constantly too hesitant to bonk people - when they were kind of on the line but not really crossing it - until we agreed with the chuuba and the other mods on a set of guidelines. Became easier to decide whether to bonk or not, though to be honest outside of raids there wasn't really any need to. Once there were a dozen of long-time viewers in the chat, the chat vibe itself filtered out random weirdos.

A good mod frees up the streamer to do other things than push buttons on a mod panel. You don't need a to be a community cop unless you do something to attract a lot of bad chatters that act up. A good mod is simply a reliable and trustworthy viewer/friend/(sometimes includes) other streamer that can do the little busy work stuff for you so that you can focus on doing whatever you do on stream.

Just got raided? Mod pushes the shoutout button and greets the raiders in chat while the streamer continues doing stream content and greets the raiders on stream.

Need a link to something and can't find it? Mods are natural go-fers for that sort of thing.

Want to remember to clip something later or just need it clipped? Mods that are attentive to the stream can do that if a viewer didn't already do so.

Don't just distribute swords for the sake of giving people fancy green VIP badges or because you think it protects you from the evil teeming hordes of Twitch chatters knocking your doors down. If you give it to anyone, give it to somebody who shows up to streams, is trustworthy and is there to help with your stream. Worrying about timing out or banning people should be the last thing a mod is worried about doing on a stream.

Seemed like he was an irl friend, but he bullied her in ways that seemed to cross the line, and chat tended to follow suit. i don't want to only get viewers in by doing the same exact thing or participating in events that other chuubas do when our personalities couldn't be more different. i personally find it weird that there are literally dozens of chuubas who all fall into the same circle and all get viewers who are just from that circle and to me it feels impenetrable since I'm not in the know. As a chuuba though, I can just easily walk in to the circle, make friends with everyone and get all the in-jokes, but it doesn't make it any easier for the random viewer who decided to check in from outside and I might end up attracting viewers from within the circle who incompatible with how i want to operate too
