I feel like there are people who just don't care that every Nintendo IP is just the same basic concept executed differently over and over again. I love the Final Fantasy series for example because in spite of a few cameos and lore references, you get a different group of characters, world, and story in each game, with a large cast of characters who have their own relationships both inside and outside the party. Look at something like Paper Mario, it's just Mario + whatever sidekick you happen to have around (the sidekicks do not interact), moving around a bunch of setpieces on your journey to save a damsel in distress. Zelda was always like that to me too, there's no CHARACTERS in Zelda, just the land of Hyrule, big bad Ganon, Zelda, and Link, who doesn't say anything. first off: I like the character voice, but I'm I've been an anime watching idolfag for over a decade.

I work with video editors and teach our trainees, so I know it's not easy for some people to grasp this stuff and hear for themselves what sounds good. I think she'd need someone who knows what he's doing to help her go through her settings and evaluate the mix. she certainly won't and shouldn't listen to a random twitter account without followers like mine.

she'd have to:
- disable mid-presence on her mic if it's on
- screenshot all current goxlr settings so she can go back if she fucks up
- set all gain, noise gate, compressor, eq to default
and now the tricky part, because judging your own voice mix isn't easy, especially if you do it with gamer headphones.
- go through those settings in order and set them to something that's technically ok, sounds good and works in most situations. then sleep on it and do it again the next day and compare.

I think if she would try it by herself then the results would be similar to the current settings. she's used to how it sounds and probably thinks her voice is less impressive with less gain/compression. most people default to louder=better.

In regards to fixing her settings, Kiara is technologically retarded, so much so that Ame is the tech support of EN, when probably most of her knowledge is from simple google searches and fucking around when she streams.

For someone to be able to help Kiara in changing her settings, they would have to literally send a screenshot or tell her what to exactly set her settings to. Which probably does not work for a mic since you would want to do a lot of testing to get the best settings.

There is also trying to bluntly tell her how to improve, but then you will just look like an asshole and get blocked or just ignored.

true, checked out vod a while ago and basicly a lot of the likes went to obvious KFPs. Personally I'm still against using the KFP account for these activities because it trains the algorithm, but all is lost already.

Timelooping earlier reminded me to check out something that I had said previously was probably a contributing factor and I still stand by it. Kiara's shitty gaming headphones are part of why she doesn't hear a problem, they've got lower response from ~1k to 10k and guess where her chicken voice tends to sit? The problem with gaming headsets is they always massive over crank the bass and ignore everything else.

That's what I'm saying, on her shitty headphones the "chicken voice", by which I mean the mixer settings, aren't as big a problem because her headphones "cancel out" the issue and it sounds fine to her. Unless she gets better headphones even if someone did send a detailed set of instructions whatever the result is it would probably sound "bad" to her. Honestly the best we could hope for is maybe getting her compressor settings fixed but there's probably 0 chance of getting her to mess with the eq or turn off presence boost.
