But given how many of the talents in the US live in big cities that are known for being progressive hotspots, I would be damn near surprised if they didn't hold those views privately. The main issue is that people want authenticity from their Vtubers and not necessarily actors putting on a show for you which is why the majority of them will share stories and backgrounds from their supposed lives (if they aren't lying out of their butts like Rushia) and not from their keyfabe. That drives engagement and viewership. FWMC is one of the few exceptions and partially why there is a deep divide between those that can watch them and those that can not. It's why also I am confused why Vtubers/companies who do Vtubing put the effort they do into the lore and etc. when that actually doesn't matter from real life testing. Just having some sort of "acting role" to play and light background on it is enough for most of them.
The main issue with Nijisanji is the danger that not having enough separation from real life events and yabs have on the content, and even if the people behind the Vtuber were completely into keyfabe, that won't save them from situations like the smouldering wreck we have had to deal with for the past month.

Within Hololive for example there are people like Ina, IRyS, Fuwamoco, and Biboo who always refer to Ao as "they" or "them" and have never referred to her as a woman, because they all buy into the same gender stuff as Finana and see her as "non binary".
