East coast, last week, and yes round trip. To both of you, just make friends in the airline industry, I could have booked this ticket the day before and it'd still be this same price, that's the perk of having connections. I've even flown to Japan completely for free several times now.
Additionally, had I booked a flight through my credit card by transferring points instead (since the previous prerequisite is harder to come by), it still would have been around ~$750. Getting cheap tickets is really easy, just takes some advanced planning.

If you're willing to slum it in a business hotel and spend 30 minutes on the train, there's a lot of them for 50 bucks a night including breakfast.
