I had a good friend who fell on hard times and I let him stay with me for awhile. He was a clean former addict but absolutely damaged as a person. I could have got him hired at my company but he had never held down a job for more than six months and there's not a chance he would last more than a few months. I had no problem giving him a place to live or money but I draw the line at him fucking up my life for a brief job he would flame out of and hurt my career in the process.
