Most of my viewers are males who want to get in pissing matches. I had a female viewer once, but I think she had ulterior motives (working on lolcow documentary or something).
I average a total of 0.07 ccv.
I've had one true fan who was a male that I believe uses my streams as inspiration for his game collection.
Streaming is niche. Viewing is even more niche. Most chatters aren't just there to view. You are probably going to star in a cringe compilation at some point, or worse a lolcow documentary that goes viral.
My advice is keep a low profile, and filter 99% of viewers with a emote only chat.

Your second route would be posting memes, funny stuff and all that to hope the algo picks you up.
Third is posting art of other bigger vtubers or use your art for raffles.
Also remember that twitter is more favorable towards accounts with more followers than following and that if you follow too many people too fast you may be banned because the system thinks you are a bot.

If you look at our two main success stories, Uwo and Lcolonq, they both found a very specific niche and built an audience around what they're good at. The market you're attempting to penetrate is far too saturated at this point. The hard truth is that most of us will never make it with the content we're producing now. It's easy to look at our little bubble, to see someone like Haru or Beryl, and see your contemporaries as leagues above you. In reality, their figures are NGMI tier in the whole of twitch.

I think you're still stretching yourself too thin. Retro games is generally not something that someone subscribed to a chuuba for. Very few people have a passion for retro games in general to the point where they will watch just any. That alone puts you firmly into variety streamer tier.

That's always a risk, but I'm talking about cultivating an audience here. And I specifically mean passion. A game or activity that you've poured tens of thousands of hours into without getting bored. Yes, you may get bored of it eventually, but that doesn't mean you can't pivot. Look at XQC or Asmongold, both were one game only for years before pivoting to variety. It's not that they they were so good at variety that they could weather the audience loss. They used that preestablished audience as a springboard.

I wonder if there’s a way to alter the eye shape when the head moves. It’s my biggest complaint with 3D. The way I like to draw eyes doesn’t really translate to 3D.

The 3D in Trigun Stampede has something like this for the mouth movements, but I don’t have any idea how they did that.

If you're actually passionate about your game you can find ways to separate yourself from the crowd.
That could be challenges or audience interaction or even inventing your own game mode.
Many of the hardcore-only WoW streamers were doing hardcore before it was even an official game mode. They'd just manually delete their character when they died.

Why not specialize in art/music if you want to be an art collective? Become the renaissance man/woman and do/learn all sorts of artistic skills.

I have seen people that i would say are way too into a game autistically knowing all kinds of detailed game lore and everything but even as a female that wont bring in the views. You will have a way easier time growing and spreading your content to a wider audience from the start by making traditional youtube videos. On twitch you will be struggling to get affiliate but on youtube you'll at least get 100 people checking out your video

I am ngmi, and make videos for personal use, and growth. That said I've watched a few vtubers grow fast with less than a few chat messages, so I'm glad to know it's possible to make it in a hurry for plenty out there.
I've watched plenty of channels flat out give up on their twitch, and abandon the platform entirely as well, so it's good to know that's a option too.
