I’m a yume Dragoon and admittedly got pretty hostile on twitter and youtube comments, I didn’t watch the black screen stream because I didn’t want to waste time listening to bullshit, until I learned that Doki supposedly kept a voice recording from like January last year…idk I thought I would ride or die with her but as someone who had a menhera friend record private conversations to threaten me, I just couldn’t believe Doki would do something like that…she’s so sweet and full of love and cares about the community so much, I didn’t want to believe it. Usually I would just ignore and move on but it has bothered me so much, so I bit the bullet and tried to listen to the stream, which is hard because Vox’s speech pattern drives me insane, like stop adding so much words to sound mature and shit, I hate that kind of moid the most.

Anyway, so right now what I gathered is that:

So it wasn’t the song perms that I previously thought was what niji got anal over, that’s the only misunderstanding I’d allow to correct myself over. I still think niji and those three livers are disgusting, and glad Doki got out to fully be herself, but I couldn’t watch her without thinking of that damn voice recording…why did I have to know about it, I could’ve stayed delulu and continued to love her. My alarm was her good morning voicepack, and I had to change it because I just couldn’t face her voice, I’m so sorry for sperging but I don’t know where else to wordvomit. Maybe I’ll get over it myself soon and go back to watching Doki and smiling like a damn idiot each time she laughs or makes cute sounds, or just being cute in general, I’m still going ahead with buying Doki merches, just hoping my yume filters would get fixed soon.

My big takeaway from the voice recording, is that she made it to protect herself. Unless she airs it as some means to gain sympathy - and it turns out to be a nothingburger, I understand why she would do that. You have to look out for yourself, and while I can understand it sucks, that you had a friend do that...

Those people are not her friends, they are her co-workers, and if there is a toxic work culture, I do not fault her for protecting herself by keeping receipts. So I can believe she would do something like that, I would too.

As for the black screen, that is their version of events. They backed up her version of events with the termination 'list of crimes'. So I would take their spin on it, with a grain of salt. After all, they are people trying to protect their livelihood, they are not former ''concerned friends''.

I get the frustration with it ruining the cozy vibes, but this can be rebuilt. Hopefully you will feel better in time Goon!

My take from this is that management had decided to screw her fans to lower her popularity and soften the graduation impact, trying to prove “she misses deadlines it’s not us” and she clapped back by still posting it.
I suggest you watch thr black video because honestly without it you may not get why the livers are getting so much flak. It’s the definition of self reporting, minimizing serious issues, asking to believe things at face value when they contradict evidence they keep bringing up and basically trying to turn public opinion against her instead of clarify things.

It also contradicts the apology video of Riku, honestly I have no fucking idea why he though it was a good idea, because it made everything they did backfire and are leaving them in a situation where silence is only making things worse, Pendora’s box got open and the rrats are everywhere.

If they want to save face they better address it and not try another attack. Although the only factual proof we are having now is the deluge of MVs that something changed.

I think someone on Niji's side had not done a good job transcribing Selen's document, which potentially caused misunderstandings. No other Liver has ever needed permissions for this. They also had access to the storyboards(that explain the entirety of the MV) for nearly a year, but only saw fit to raise a stink at the very last minute, after ghosting her for for over a day, and then proceeded to ghost her again afterwards.
