Artist asked to be referenced for the design, but his community said she gave up her right during the submission, and that there was only a few ways to draw an axolotl with cat ears, and her design wasn’t original.

Wilson then said he saw her design, and was inspired and took reference from it, but hired another artist that literally drew the same thing but in different color. He went silence for a week after that.
