According to Nijisanji their total number of subs across all Livers needs to counted together even though a good portion of them are dead subs and/or overlap where 1 person can become 5-20 subs. It's not nefarious or anything because subs do matter in the algorithm and for ads.
On the flip side they will say they only lost 32,000 people which is a marginal number if looked at by face value but they are leaving out that those 32,000 people amounted to nearly 400,000 subs.
